More PED suspensions coming?

Post by Deadheadz » Tue Aug 05, 2014 1:39 pm

:?
Just listening to the most recent story linked to BioGenesis...

Apparently there are "unbefore" mentioned MLB players who will be outed as PED users in the most recent case against the people operating BioGenesis.

Which elite fantasy stars will be suspended?

I'm not holding my breath.

Anyone who read some of my posts last year, knows I wrote about these ongoing investigations and that further players would be named. What is going on now with the DEA, FEDS, and other agencies is just the tip of the ice berg. There are multiple Federal Grand juries impaneled across the country targeting illegal PED and Drug distribution rings involving almost all professional sports and amateur levels of sports. It started well before Biogenesis and will continue long after Biogenesis. The NFL is going to hit hard when those names start coming out. As for MLB, there will be a lot more players revealed, and it will not be a question of if they did, they will take their suspensions and attempt to move on also, just like the all the others did without denying it.

A lot of MLB and other sport athletes will not be coming from the Biogenesis MLB investigation, but rather from all the other concurrent investigations throughout the country that have been taking place. MLB got ahead of these investigations because of their own BioGenesis investigation, but they had no idea and still do not know about all this new information now leaking out, other than possibly hearing about other investigations. My own personal opinion is that people will be shocked at the names as they come out. Anyone who knows anything about these these types of far reaching investigations know, they flip the users to get the suppliers and distributors, and I have heard numerous athletes have already testified in return for their cooperation, most will never be criminally charged, but their names will be coming out. I do see a few big names though in various sports being criminally charged at some point to hammer home the issues, its just the way the FEDs do business and would not be surprised to see AROD and Braun be two of them. I have heard they both refused to cooperate or go under oath as of yet in front of a grand jury, although Braun has been questioned by Federal Investigators. The U Of Miami pitching coach was indicted and arrested also and evidently there are links detailing Brauns use back to his college days as well as numerous other players.

I'm guessing there is a pretty big chance these names come out before the end of this season and that suspensions will be handed out pretty quickly by MLB, playoffs or not. MLB and the union did agree to 80 game first time suspension earlier this year and they will apply to anyone suspended, even if the use was prior. Not going to write a lot on this, I took enough bashing last year, but all I will say is nothing I wrote has been wrong nor has what i wrote about what was coming.

It stinks, because not just MLB, but all sports will be tarnished. The FEDS have had it with the illegal drug use in the NFL and not just PEDS. I only hope they clean up it up the best they can, bring more awareness to the problem and slow down the use of this crap by all the kids 12-18.

:geek:

After listening to the Buster Olney podcast from Wednesday, it appears this investigation did not focus on users of PEDS and the only players who we see suspended are those who got got under the normal MLB testing.

We'll see, I guess.
