This was the first year that we had a $100,000 grand prize in the NFBC Primetime, our 12-Team Main Event. We finished with 20 leagues and 240 teams, and in 2015 we sure hope to grow that number. This is a great contest and very different from our NFBC 15-Team Main Event. Congrats to all of the league champions and to everyone who cashed in the league and overall payouts. Here's a look at some interesting facts, followed by the league champions and where they drafted from:
** The only owners to win multiple league titles in the Primetime this year were Greg Headrick and Eric Heberlig, who won the overall grand prize as well. Eric won the March 30th Online league title and tied for first place with Bill Bros for the March 27th Online league title. That was the only tie in either of our Main Events this year. Greg and Ty Parsons won the March 28th and 29th Online league titles.
** Three owners won league titles in the NFBC Main Event and in the NFBC Primetime. They were Lindy Hinkelman, Eric Heberlig and Steve Fiore. Steve finished 3rd overall in the Primetime and 7th in the Main Event, while Eric finished 1st in the Primetime and 13th in the Main Event. Lindy is an NFBC Hall of Famer who continues to add to his impressive resume with two more titles in 2014 and an 8th place overall finish in the Primetime and a 19th place overall finish in the Main Event.
** 15 of 21 league champions came from the top half of the draft order, with Nos. 1 and 6 having the most league champions at 4 each. Only eight draft spots produced league champions with Nos. 3, 7, 8 and 11 not producing a league champion in the Primetime.
** Mike Trout was on four first place Primetime teams, the most from any first round player.
