Max, I listened for awhile.
Up front, I strongly dislike fantasy talk shows. So, know that as you read.
There is always MUCH agreement among those talking. Too much.
It is always much more entertaining with point-counterpoint.
Have you heard Greg and Tom's show? For the most part, an agreement lovefest.
One will state an opinion about a player. Then the other will support that opinion with even more 'why's and wherefor's.'
It all becomes boring for me.
But, that is just me, so carry on.

I get phone calls from Kelly Uganski. Kelly knows his baseball. And the high points of our conversations is when we disagree on a player. It may be his numbers, our personal view of him, the way he acts on a field, or even being selfish....which I find as an admirable fantasy trait and at the same time, a despicable team trait.
When Alfonso Soriano was a great player, he took pride in looking at stats to see where he ranked in categories. Fans of his team may think that selfish but what more could we ask in owning him?
Sometimes, I think I sway Kelly a bit in the worth of a player and sometimes I KNOW that he sways me about feelings of a player.

Also DO NOT fall into the overvalued or undervalued trap. Every player can be over or under valued. Somebody said on your show that Duda would be overvalued as a top 10 first baseman.
No shit. :D
At the same time, he would be undervalued as a 30th first basemen, dig?
We can look up splits and know that he didn't hit lefties well. The real question for listeners would be....
CAN HE REPEAT OR EVEN EXCEED LAST YEARS POWER NUMBERS?
That, was never answered.

Javier Baez is not a sleeper as suggested. That kind of possible power from a middle infielder is noticed by all.
Kelly and I talked about Javier Baez. The power and strike outs are a given.
We felt he would be drafted from round four to round nine depending on factors.
The timing of the draft.
The type of draft.
Hype.
Spring training.
We agreed that of all single digit round draftees, Baez had the highest chance of being sent back down to the minor leagues should he fail over a brief period of time.
As fantasy players, THAT is the utmost concern.
SS/2B positionality which was pushed on your show, does not help fantasy players when playing in Iowa.

It was great to put a voice to the posts. Both, you and your partner exude a love for the game. That comes across with ease.
Don't be afraid to mix it up. Remember, listeners already know as much as yourselves. They are fantasy players or they wouldn't be listening at all. There are no 'sleepers' and they'll determine the 'value'.
My test for any fantasy show is whether they have me re-thinking a players ability.
If they've done that, then they've struck a chord and I'll give them another listen.

Good luck on the show. I know this is neither a thumbs up or thumbs down. More so, just constructive concerns.
Keep plugging away. :D
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Was looking for just a slap on the back positive feedback Dough ;) ! Just kidding.
Agree on 90% of what you said after listening to the show and I feel like it is getting a bit better as we are now 3 weeks in.
Though I obviously don't plan on making a career out of it, I do want it to be good, for people to get something from it and your best point is that the people listing are already Fantasy Baseball Players, who know the game.
Thanks a lot for the feedback, :D

Max, I enjoyed it and your voice comes across as very friendly, just like the boards. Probably sounds like nothing, but important to me as I would listen again.

I can see both sides of the discussion with you and Dough about value, sleepers, etc. In my opinion, anyone can provide value, which I think you both agree with....sounds funny to call Homer Bailey a sleeper, but if he is being projected to go in round 8, for example and you think he will provide top 3 production, to me that is value or sleeper pick. (I am prefer value, but don't care if terms are interchangeable).

Anyway, what I would really like to see ( or should I say hear) would be someone who is willing to try and breakdown champions and how they put together a winning team or looking a losing team and breaking down what went wrong. Those are just a couple of my thoughts. I know there is a lot of work that goes into things like this. Many hours of studying, analysing, etc. Most will try to discredit, which cab be discouraging, but should serve to make you challenge yourself and become even stronger. I used to try and do a website with information years back, very challenging to maintain. Definitely would have helped to have had others involved (something I wish I would have kept at, so my two cents....keep at it....provide a bit more reasoning behind picks).

Your love of game shows and you are someone who is likable...people will root for you! Best of luck!

Thanks for listening! Again, its just something that I agreed to do as I just love talking baseball! My buddy is an awesome writer and also a baseball nut. You and Dough both have great points. After we get done with the AL West, AL Central and AL East we are going to start grinding on the players / up coming drafts.
As far as Value goes, I look at every player as having "value" in one way or another. There are guys I just love where I can get them and then there are guys who I get excited to go way earlier than where I would take them.
Also, negative feedback never really bugs me, so I hope people aren't afraid to give me their feedback… I don't plan on making my living at this, though I would gladly be the Radio Voice of the Chicago Cubs in a heart beat! :D

Can I subscribe and download/listen on my phone? I can't listen to a podcast unless it's on my phone.
