11 Signups before the prize structure is finalized.... now that's something. Still, looking forward to this as it might be the highlight of my Vegas weekend.
PS... Greg, we should probably save a spot for Particelli since he was the first to post the idea.

Re: 5 Spots Left In NFBC Diamond Auction League
Will do. And yes, we'll finalize the prize structure in this league once we have a full league. This is a private league and thus the majority will prevail. Right now we have the structure the same as the Diamond Draft, but I'm open to suggestions here from what is quickly becoming a very passionate group of owners.Glenneration X wrote:11 Signups before the prize structure is finalized.... now that's something. Re: 3 Spots Left In NFBC Diamond Auction League
Greg,
It appears the bulk of the players are shifting from the Ultimate Auction to do the Diamond Auction on Sunday afternoon. Given my other event commitments and the fact Household 6 is coming to Vegas with me this year, I must BPT devote at least 1 night to a nice dinner/night on the town.
If that's the case, rather than doing an Ultimate Auction on Sunday that may not fill, please allocate me a seat at the Diamond Auction table.

Re: SOLD OUT: 2015 NFBC Diamond Auction League
Well, that didn't take long!!
The debut NFBC Diamond Auction League IS NOW SOLD OUT!! This will be held on Sunday, March 29th at 4 pm PT at the Bellagio Las Vegas. All 15 owners have committed already and we should be good to go. Some owners switched leagues when it was obvious this one was going to sell out, but hopefully we can still sell out the other private leagues at this level or higher. Good job all and thanks for the great debut of another league in the NFBC.
We still have an Ultimate Auction League on Saturday night and Sunday night, and the Diamond Draft League is still scheduled for Sunday morning. The Platinum League already has 6 of 15 spots sold for Saturday night. Should be a wild time in Las Vegas once again and this just proves how quickly you have to secure your spots in some of these leagues to get in.
Okay, here's the final lineup card for the 2015 NFBC Diamond Auction League:

Good luck all and enjoy. I will send out an email this week to discuss the prize structure. KDS deadline won't be a factor in an auction, but getting the prizes locked in early definitely is important. Thanks all and good luck to each team.

Re: SOLD OUT: 2015 NFBC Diamond Auction League
I am going to email the 15 owners here this week to finalize the prize structure. This is a private league, so let's work together on this. Right now we have payouts to the Top 4 finishers and a $75,000 league prize. I'll email three options and we'll go with the majority here. Thanks all. We're about 2 months away from this great auction league, so it's time to start finalizing all of this. Look for the email shortly.mdecav wrote:Have the payouts been determined or is this still up in the air?

Well, as expected, the email vote of prizes was 6-6. I need to contact the three who haven't voted yet, but it's definitely a split of opinions. Some want 4 winners badly and some are adamant about paying Top 3. But I expected feelings like this.King of Queens wrote:So...what's the plan?

Okay, all 15 owners have voted for the two options and the results are:King of Queens wrote:So...what's the plan?
8 owners want Pay Top 4
6 owners want Pay Top 3
1 owner would do either way, prefers 3
It couldn't be more split. I think at this point the majority rules, but let's look at an option that rewards 1st place more than what we have now. I'll send an email shortly because it's important to get feedback from everyone. I think there's a good compromise here.
The range of responses was "as much to first place as possible" to "I'm in favor of pay Top 4 and I'd even vote for paying Top 5." I think with such mixed opinions it's important to do what is best for the competitive nature of the league this season right through the last day of the season, and to ensure the longevity of this format. I do think that the top-heavy payout in the Platinum may be part of the problem there...along with some other things.

One more email coming soon.....

Re: SOLD OUT: 2015 NFBC Diamond Auction League
Just an FYI that an email with new prize structures has been sent to all 15 owners and we're doing one more round of voting. It probably will be as evenly split as the last one, but at least everyone will have had their say. We'll have this prize structure finalized shortly. Thanks all and what a great league this is going to be. CAN'T WAIT!!
I just hope Brady is ready for this group!!

Re: SOLD OUT: 2015 NFBC Diamond Auction League
Okay, I just sent an email to all 15 owners who have committed to the Diamond Auction League in Las Vegas on Sunday, March 29th. We have worked through the voting for this league prize structure and this has been finalized. Here was the vote and the final payout structure:
8 owners wanted Option C, which is:
1st Place - $75,000
2nd Place - $35,000
3rd Place - $20,000
4th Place - $10,000
5 Owners wanted Option A, which was:
1st Place - $80,000
2nd Place - $40,000
3rd Place - $15,000
4th Place - $5,000
1 Owner wanted any option; 1 other owner wanted B, which was similar to A.
So 8-5-1-1 means we'll stick with the posted prize structure that is on the web site.
Thanks all and good luck. We will finalize the prizes and KDS process in the Diamond Draft League as soon as we get 1 more signup. I think we can do that shortly. And we'll finalize the Platinum entry fee, prize structure and KDS setup shortly as well. Look for that email today. Thanks all and good luck.
