Bench top guys - includes L. Chisenhall, D. Brown, B. Beachy, R. Vogelsong and a whole lot of gambles like most benches on a 50 man roster.

If the pitching comes through I think this team can compete. This team might not get 50 steals all year but I think there's enough power & average. Unfortunately I had a typo during the auction and bid $11 on Dickey instead of $1. If not for that I might have been able to have enough $$ left over at end of the draft to get Steven Souza instead of Viciedo as my last OF. Bummer. Let's play some baseball.....

you spent way more on pitching that i would have.....usually i like to keep that to 90-100 bucks total.

on top of that ...you are counting on three SP coming off injury in wainwright, harvey and cain....all arm injuries

That being said.........the pitching staff has good upside and your bats should be good enough to compete minus the speed. its a solid team.

Ken, you spent light on hitting which cost a middle infield. If Simmons hits like he looked like he might be able to a couple years ago and Utley stays healthy, maybe you'll be ok. More likely it's a trouble spot that will cost you points. But for just $145 spent on hitting it isn't bad.

I think your caveat was on point - if pitching holds up. Wainwright, Dickey and Cain are old. Wainwright is high-risk health-wise, Dickey is past his prime (but at least should stay healthy throwing 65 mph) and Cain is trying to come back from injury. More than likely there's some under-performance there, and you spent a lot on pitching. I'll give you a "C" since I think you're most likely to be around the middle come October. But good luck, especially with this being your only team! Maybe you'll want to try one more ...

Did you guys notice that the top pitchers in our draft were going for ridiculous prices -- much higher than last year. I would rather have had Strasburg or Sale or King Felix as my staff ace but those guys all went for well over $30. So had to settle for Wainright. Hope his elbow is at or near 100%....

SB --- no doubt about it. Punted steals and expect a "1" here.
BA --- maybe. I see some high avg guys like Adams, Cuddyer, Butler, need better than expected from a couple others.
K --- disagree. I see plenty of strikeouts from this group

This auction did have some fairly extreme strategies. Two teams locked up seven of the top ten SP and this pumped up the overall cost of SP. Hopefully I've positioned myself where I won't have to chase saves in FAAB and I can concentrate on bolstering the rotation during the season.
