Our tech people are saying the issue is fixed but it could take time before everyone can log back in. The info below is what they told us. Again, I'm not a tech person so this doesn't make any sense to me but maybe someone like KJ can decipher this and explain it to me like I'm a third grader. :)

It is possible that the domain is cached on the incorrect location though, so that may be what people are still seeing. Unfortunately, we may need to wait for their internet providers cache to clear where it will ask us where to send and they'll get the correct location.

.

It all works from this end now. Most of our DC managers are in the chat room and report no problems either.

Thanks for working this out.

I tried accessing the site through a proxy server in Chicago and it worked. Still not working via San Diego.

So it isn't your computer, phone, or browser ... it's the particular web server that your computer or phone is trying to access it through, which is based mainly on your geographic location unless you re-direct through a non-local proxy.

Our tech people weren't sure how long the problem could correct itself for everyone. They said it could take up to 8 hours so it's possible some people may not be able to access the site until tomorrow morning. If people are still having issues then let us know and we'll contact tech again.

I think it has been that long already, no improvement here. Whatever they did, I hope they don't do it again once fast drafts begin!

One of our tech people is advising you to clear your DNS cache or reboot completely and see if that fixes the issue.

Everything was updated and fixed yesterday early afternoon. The advice from IT last night was: Ask affected users to clear their DNS cache. If they don't know how, a reboot will clear it also.

Your computer just needs to link again to our site, message boards, etc. I know it's been a pain and honestly I'm not sure what happened yesterday, but it definitely is just with the NFBC site. NFFC or NFBKC sites were not affected, so reboot and log in again. That should reset your NFBC URL.

Reboot again if you can and I'll call you shortly. It's fixed, but somehow it may take longer for this to refresh depending on your ISP. I'm computer illiterate, but I know others have rebooted this morning after it wasn't working last night and they are okay now. Sorry for this, but it should work again today.

Yeah, it didn't happen to everyone. We made picks for others yesterday morning and never had a glitch on the boards, but there definitely was something done that affected some NFBC users. It was fixed, but I was told it could take longer for the URL to refresh in different parts of the country, so hopefully everyone will be good to go today. Sorry again.

Looks like they found the problem to fix....
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Back to normal here.

Re-booting computer and clearing DNS didn't work because it had nothing to do with that, it was cached on the local web servers of those who had problems. We had to wait for those caches to be cleared ...
