This just ain't right. The whole reason I was willing to blow $500 to this pool of piranhas is because I was promised a great meal. I can get carrot sticks at the NYC drafts! (Sorry Tom, but deserved.)

All kidding aside, I can't wait for this challenge. I'll eat before I arrive. ;)

The cost of the Executive Penthouse Suite alone won't even cover this $500 league, but yup I'm on the food and drinks!! Place your orders with KJ and of course we'll provide it. Nothing but the best here. 8-)

Good job filling this up KJ and it should be a great signature event every year going forward. I will sign you each up under the $500 DC Auction link and Tom will rename this league later on. We have to set this league up in a unique way so that we can enter the results live and then finish the 7-round draft. But I'll get all 15 owners locked in here tonight. Enjoy all.

Thanks and keep the photos coming. You guys do actually work during the course of the day, don't you? I do this for a living and I don't even have time to read all this. How do you guys work and post so often?

We all have to have our priorities Greg.

All kidding aside, I often wonder the same thing. I'm so busy at work trying to save enough to put two nickels together so that I can actually play your contests, I barely have enough time for a drink of water or to go to the bathroom, let alone post. :( It used to amaze me how these guys do it.

Then I heard through multiple reliable sources that Juprinka, Dobies, and Edelman all have won so much money in fantasy, that they were able to retire as independently wealthy multi-gazillionaires, and that they do most of their posting from their yachts. I just figured the others had similar stories.

Sigh, back to the grind for me. :(

PS... At least I can look forward to Tiffany serving me my lobster tail and Shafer Cab (this better be good stuff KJ) in just 5 short weeks. :D

All 15 teams now have the team link on their pages. We'll rename the league at a later date, so it's now listed as $500 DC Auction because that's the format we are using. Enjoy and thanks again.

The bar will be open during that wild auction, so don't you poor souls worry. You'll enjoy the setup and the good news is that you can get to bed early this year on Thursday night because the Massotto-Fleming limousine won't be outside waiting for all to go to a Club!! 8-) Somebody else will have to make those arrangements this year.

Cool.

Can NFBC participants come and watch this auction?

P.S. Someone should tell ESPN. Seriously, this might get ratings better than one of their poker shows.

Todd, love that you're a part of this league. As KJ pointed out when announcing your participation, you bring a little bit of that "Experts" cache, aura, and experience to the proceedings since you pretty much take part in these types of expert drafts/auctions for a living, and add some credibility needed due to some of the rest of us motley bunch (Juprinka and Dobies as the obvious examples :D ) .

I'd be curious... As an annual member of Touts and LABR, and taking the fact that you have a financial investment in this draft out of the equation, which of the three events (Touts, LABR, NFBC All-Stars) do you anticipate being the most challenging/tough and which of the three are you most looking forward to? Yes, I know I'm putting you on the spot.

PS... One more question and possibly the most important. Which of the three do you anticipate serving the best snacks?

Taking money out (and actually, leaving it in), I want to win Tout Wars the most. Not looking to turn this into pissing match between the industry and the high-stakes players -- just saying at this point, while Tout Wars fashions itself a showcase league, for me it's a league with a bunch of my buddies and I've never won it. So just as you guys probably want to take down your work league or league with college buddies, I want to (finally) win Tout Wars.

Comparing the challenge is tough since Tout is NL only (for me) and this is a 15-team mixed. The roster management part also lends into the challenge. I'll say NL Tout will be the most challenging -- simply due to the format, not the participants.

Which am I most looking forward to? That's like asking me if I like sausage or pepperoni pizza better -- can't I like them both the same?

As for snacks...

I'm in Mixed LABR which is on-line done from home and my snack was a Mixed Nuts Power Bar which I actually really liked -- my first time with that flavor. But still, it was a Power Bar.

There really aren't any snacks at Tout Wars -- the past few seasons we've been jammed into a fish bowl at SiriusXM and there's barely room to fit our egos, let alone snacks.

So that means the All-Star draft wins by default, but to be fair, knowing Greg, it would win anyway.

Since this wasn't the answer I was looking for (well, outside of the snacks), I'd like to request that Greg and Tom delete both my question and Todd's response. ;)

Should be easy enough. You guys have had a lot of practice lately. :D

All kidding aside, this is one of the leagues that I personally am most looking forward to and as challenging as it gets.
Less than 5 weeks away. Jeez, almost here. I cannot wait.

In all honestly Glenn, the fact this is an auction feeds into the challenging aspect. If this was a draft league, it wouldn't even be close. I find drafts 10x more challenging and if this was a draft, for me sitting in this room would be 1000x more challenging.

My best main event finish is tying Terry Haney for third in the league Lindy won as part of his double-dip -- and I needed 7 whiffs from Rick Porcello in game 163 just to get there.

Is this what you're looking for? I feel I have an edge in this room with my auction experience. How's that for bravado?

Unfortunately, much of the edge is mitigated with the limited in-season managing but yeah, I feel I have an edge at the auction.

Todd my friend, you're taking me too seriously. I blame STATS IT for not having a more obvious "sarcasm" smiley available. :D

I know all these events are important to you and all bring different challenges due to the differing formats and different participants. All three I'm sure are circled in bright colored highlighter on your calendar, as they all should be.

And good luck in all three. Though if you need to win any of 'em, please let it be Touts or LABR. I'd like at least a small shot at winning this one myself. :?

I get the sarcasm -- all good.

The day I circle is the NFBC AL and NL only auctions. I plan the entire month of March around these.

I've been known to red-eye out of Vegas to get to NYC for Tout, paying $40 for a shower at a Newark Travelodge so I don't repulse the fish bowl with my gaminess.
