Well although I may be slightly biased, www.fantasybaseball.com (previously Mastersball) will likely give you the best information for NFBC prep as both Todd and I devote several articles to both draft and auction events.

What type of prep are you looking for? Projections? Spreadsheets? Rankings? Etc.

1) Find as much advice as possible specific to this format.

2) Take in to account the success of the person writing it. Nate Ravitz from rototimes wrote a great piece last year on the NFBC and Nate won in 05. No offense intended but I would take a look at the overall success some of the writers have had in the main event before I would take their word for gospel.

3) No matter how good your resources are it takes more than that to win consistently, you have to be able to watch a lot of baseball and have a firm understanding of the nuances of it.

That is my 2 cents- if you choose to join you will not regret it.

Good advice, Chest. I offered some of the same tidbits. He seems to be trying to find an all-encompassing fantasy site to study up on things so I gave him a brief review of what is out there without pointing him in a very specific direction. I tried not to be too disparraging about Shandler.

No surprises there. Not giving you a hard time in particular, newbie, but I wonder how wise it is to use the same source as everyone else. Only so many people should be walking into the draft convinced that Michael Barrett will hit 58 homeruns.

Not to be a jerk or anything but I wonder why anyone would actually give away vital info to any other player? If I thought one service was superior to another would I actually share that info or would I try to spread a little disinformation to the masses? This is a competition afterall!

Well, this is one reason why we PM'ed newbie rather than posting the info. No harm in helping out one new person. I don't think the reliance on Shandler is any secret. The endorsement from the 2005 champ is going to do it for them regardless of what people post or pm to others.
