Coop, that's funny because I just wrote up a little ditty on how Hanley was going to be the opposite of a bust. Haha. I guess we can't all be right, and I'm usually that guy more often than not.

While I don't use bat speed in my ranking process, I respect the work you put into your blog. Though you do second guess yourself on his age. On one hand you mention that at 23 is when players make a jump and later you list his age as a negative.

The reasons why I think he could disappoint this season are all the reasons that go along with a 2nd year player that had a better than expected rookie campaign. Maybe his head gets swollen from his homies telling him how great he is, or maybe now there is a book on him and pitchers will pitch him better, or maybe the player that bats behind him doesn't play over his head either, or maybe he just comes back to Earth a little. Nothing too scientific really.

Of course maybe this guy is a stud that didn't need AAA and will keep getting better. But you better be right because if he hits around .250, he'll have a lot of AB's to go along with it. And that's not what you want from a top 5 SS.

You're right and thanks for catching that. What I actually meant by that second age comment was that it's only his second year and he overperformed in his first year - basically what you just said.
