Hasn't thrown over to 1B with a runner on since 2013, apparently he doesn't feel comfortable doing it...Really? $150 mil dollar pitcher can't throw over to 1B? What's up with that? Might not have mattered too much in the American League where less small ball and steals happen, but damn, he's going to get run on like crazy in the National League.
Lester had that one guy picked off easily if throws over there, but no, the guy runs and then a base hit, 1st and 3rd just like that. Next inning, a double steal. How is it possible to be a major league pitcher, and lefty to boot, and can't/doesn't want to throw to 1B?
