And the war of attrition has begun in earnest!!Hells Satans wrote:Matt Cain with forearm soreness. Doesn't sound promising
A closer and a mediocre starting pitcher ... you can easily manage around those things.GetALife wrote:Anybody want to take over and manage my team? I've already had enough and it just started. Benoit, now Cain! I don't even have it in me to pay attention and care all season at this point. I'm a veteran that's just had enough.
Wow, the DL Petition is already out?mlbbug wrote:We may have to lobby Tom and Greg for a DL slot next year. Tough to carry guys on reserve that are on DL, especially as the year deepens and injuries mount up. Last year there were many times that my reserve slots looked like a MASH unit.

It's a marathon everyone, it's a marathon!! Hang in there.
We aren't adding DL spots in the NFBC. Roster management is a major part of the battle. How you manage those 7 reserve spots is as much a part of the skill of this contest as managing those 23 starting spots. Hang in there and keep battling for every single hit, run, stolen base, win, save, etc. The fun is just beginning!!
So, today is the third day of baseball season and the following closers already are down and out since Sunday:mattjb wrote:Nathan to the DL.
Probably got his first and last save of the season on opening day
Add Cecil (Manager lost confidence)Bronx Yankees wrote:So, today is the third day of baseball season and the following closers already are down and out since Sunday:mattjb wrote:Nathan to the DL.

1. Benoit - lost job due to Kimbrel trade
2. Mejia - injured
3. Nathan - injured
Quite the start of the season. Can't wait to see what tomorrow (or tonight) will bring.
Mike
Saw that. Boy, it sure did not take long. OK, so if we skip the single Sunday game, we've had four days of baseball and four closers currently are out of a job since the season started: Benoit, Mejia, Nathan and Cecil. Can hardly wait to see what this weekend brings.MadCow Sez wrote:Add Cecil (Manager lost confidence)Bronx Yankees wrote:So, today is the third day of baseball season and the following closers already are down and out since Sunday:mattjb wrote:Nathan to the DL.
