I know there are many haters out there because of what Bonds has done, but what are some reasonable numbers for him this year. If he was unhealthy and his knees and legs were going to be a problem this year running the OF, wouldn't he have gone to the AL to DH and break the record. My thoughts are he signed with the Giants because his legs are better and he can run the OF, what are your thoughts?

Points I never considered. I thought he was foolish for not signing to be a dh. He may want to stay in SF because the fans are freindly to him, unlike what he faces on the road. I don't think he can stand (no pun intended) for more than 140 games and that's if he's not hurt. The average is falling, he's another year older, knee's aren't likely to get better, lack of playing everyday will cost R's and rbi. having said all that I think he'll be ok. You could've taken him later though. Don't feel too bad I expect to take quite a bit of criticism for most of my picks last night. Maybe deservedly so.

Bobby I personally thought you took Bonds last night about 75-100 picks too early. He needs to play enough in 07 to get to 755 and this is it.

Vander addressed the batting avg concerns-

For both of you all I would love that kind of criticism right now- and I am sure you both take it in stride. It will either help you prevent a mistake in March or make you much stronger in your belief that it is the strategy go go. Good luck to you both.

He had no choice but to stay in the NL. His knees may be shot yet but they should allow him to play every 2 out of 3 games and break the HR record in August.

thanks, I knew he was a little early, but there had to be other offers out there, $16M is way too much if there is no one else. I am overly happy with avg from the first 3 position guys, so I could take a hit. I accept justified criticism very well, so i really do appreciate the comments. If I do not win the league, at least I will be known for something

Why? That is almost as many hr's as he has hit during the last two years and he only hit .275 during the same time. New steroid?

The last 2 months of the 2006 season Bonds hit .315 & 12 Hr's, Bonds also was moving alot better in the field he was getting his legs back.. He is still one of the most feared hitters in the NL. Also I hear he is working out like a MAD MAN at UCLA..

I will grab him in the 13th 14 rds if he is sill there.

Last year Vinnies Team who won 100,000 drafted Bonds in th 6th rd.. This year you can get Bonds much later in the draft.

If Bonds is good enouh for the Champ then he will be good enough for Kimo. :D
