Okay, I apologize for changing my mind in mid-stream, but I will send out an e-mail to all past participants and those signed up already to officially announce this. I've decided to raise the entry fee only for the main event $50 to $1,300 and will reduce the co-manager fee just for this event to $50, while raising the league prizes. This way we are still keeping it at $1,350 per team with co-manager and just raising single-entry owners from $1,250 to $1,300. Everything remains the same for 2007 auction leagues, but in 2008 I will probably increase the bigger auction leagues to match the $1,300 total.
By raising the main event by $50 per team, it allows us to increase our second and third place prizes by $500. League prizes have been changed on the Prizes link to $5,000 for first place, $2,500 for second and $1,000 for third. It gives more credence to those teams finishing second and third in their leagues.
Again, some new owners have already signed up for the main event and if they are solo I will contact them about the price increase. We have not hit any credit cards, so anyone who wants a refund before Feb. 15, 2007 can certainly ask for one. I will contact all returning NFBC teams that have signed up through me as well and all you have to do is respond via e-mail to say you are good with the new charge. We don't need you to sign up again at the new price.
The signup page now has the new main event price to it. Again, we're raising the entry fee, but reducing the co-manager fee, so hopefully a greater percentage of the overall payment is going to the participants. Now let's keep the signups going and fill this thing up!!! Thanks everyone.

How are you handling the teams that won the free entry via the satellites last year for the main event?

Those who took the free entries get in as is and I'll eat the extra $50 in prizes. I think we have about 8 of those and it will work out okay. I can afford that!
