Mesaraco mismanaged roster spot

Very strange how the Reds have handled this. They have 3 catchers on the roster and Mesaraco a one and done Pinch hitter can't even do a two for one. Anyone else remember a situation where a roster spot is being mangled like this. I drafted him and kept hearing he was day to day that's another story. Seems like a strange way too handle a valuable roster spot in real life. I would think a DL stint and a middle reliever or a utility player would make more sense.

That whole situation is weird, right Joe?
Price goes ballistic on writers for letting others know that Mesoraco is not available.
Meanwhile, Mesoraco is hardly available EVER.
They use him as a pinch hitter twice a week. As if proving something.
Heck, the Orioles have the luxury of a designated hitter and they still won't let their prized catcher only hit.
Yet, the Reds are seemingly happy with a pinch hitter who can't squat.
And 'squat' is what they seem to know about his injury.

By now, pride may be a factor.
They don't want to admit that they've botched the situation so badly that they'll be hip to playing the waiting game.
Instead of dl'ing his game and waiting on the hip.

Since Mesoraco started sitting everyday, we haven't had much news.
Now, the Reds have said that Mesoraco is unable to squat.
WHAT?!
What good is any player that cannot even take a dump?

Are the Reds really this clueless?
Are they looking at film of Buster Posey catching Bimgarner standing up against the Royals?

Gee. I hope that is not their reasoning.
His dl stint would have been up and they could have activated him before Friday if that's the case.
The Reds seem to have a devin-may-care attitude about the whole thing.
Surprised they haven't been called out more than they have.
