The Mets are in first place. 20-14 Record.
16-5 vs. losing teams.
4-9 vs. winning teams.

The Cubs, already, have had nine games played in under 50 degrees temps.
An average of just over five runs per game in those games.
A good 'under' wager for gamblers.

Marcus Semien has a league leading 11 errors.
The Athletics have made an error in 11 consecutive games.
The Athletics have the worst record in the American League.

Yesterday, Corey Kluber struck out 18, allowing one hit.
Only 12,313 paid to see it.
Less Cleveland fans go to see games than any other team in baseball.
Yes, including Tampa.

I love this one.
The Yankees scored two runs in the first inning, both last night and the night before vs. Tampa.
They lost both games.
It was the first time in the long and storied Yankees history that they had scored multiple runs in the first inning in back to back games, only to never score again in either game.

Nelson Cruz is one rbi from holding the American League Triple Crown.
15 homers, 29 rbi, .346
And still, everybody wants to talk about Bryce Harper.

Somebody on the Message Boards insinuated that Miguel Cabrera has established himself as the definite number two pick in all NFBC drafts.
Really?
Cabrera-.......322/18/6/22/1
Goldschmidt- .347/28/9/28/6
Who would you rather have ?

Kendrys Morales (27) has scored more runs than Matt Carpenter (25)

Steven Souza leads all of baseball with 52 strike outs.
His fantasy owners don't give a rat's ass.

Melky Cabrera has only struck out nine times.
His owners flip off his box scores.

Michael Brantley has struck out just five times. Only walked 13 times.
Only 18 at bats in a virtual fantasy void.

There are many ways to score runs.
Hanley Ramirez has 10 home runs. 29 hits.
He has scored 20 runs. knocking himself in half the times he has scored.
Dee Gordon has also scored 20 runs.
He has twice as many hits as Hanley (58-29)
Never knocked himself in.

Is Gordon empty as a guy with 58 hits?
He has scored just those 20 runs.
Billy Hamilton has only 27 hits.
Scored 21 times.

Billy Hamilton is hitting .211
Speed never slumps?

Michael Morse has 113 at bats.
2 homers.
Four runs.
Suicidal owners.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

At this point Dan, let's just accept the reality that Kyle Hendricks is incapable of winning a baseball game whether he pitches well, poorly or somewhere in between.

Accept your 4-5 K's per game and mediocre ratios and be happy that at least he's not getting blown up every other outing like some other rookie-ish pitchers. :|

I've accepted the reality, KJ.
We were both high on him coming into the season. He doesn't show any tenacity when getting into a bad situation.
It's almost Marquis-able in how he throws gas on a rally flame, rather than water.
Live and learn with young pitchers.
