Things that I wish for in fantasy baseball....
I wish RotoWorld would quit saying somebody is getting the dreaded 'Just a rest day
Whatever happened to the term 'benched?
It is usually a semi or full platoon player not hitting against a same hander.
This generation- A day of rest
Past generations- benched
Wussification of America at work.
I wish that faab only listed the players I were interested in. I know this isn't a possibility, but something can be done to help.
We need a filter for hitters who have had 12 at bats during the last week and pitchers who have started a game during the last week.
We can add any players that do not meet this criteria ourselves.
I wish that we could move pitchers easily during the week. This has been brought up many times in the past.
It's just time that something is done.
I wish that lineups didn't lock for a player until that player has made an offensive or pitching stat in the game.
Not just pitchers, all players.
I wish that there may be more people joining the NFBC next year.
Unfortunately, I think it will be less with some of us leaving and not coming back.
And I wish that more folks would talk as excitedly about the NFBC as they do their daily games.
It's the nature of our beast though.
The daily game takes the best of what we have (the draft and last day of season), for those that play
it is a more exciting game.
Face it, marathoners are not as sexy as sprinters are.
I wish that the Message Boards were hopping.
I miss some of the 'ol posters.
Git your asses back here!
I wish there were a way to force all 30 teams to go for a pennant.
Teams like Miami, Colorado, Arizona, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, and others just seem to plod along, perfectly ok with making money from fans in the seats and tv deals.
Maybe an incentive cash or player award tied to victories and post-season appearances. I don't know.
I wish that baseball and the players union would get rid of all semblances of rookies and service time.
I wish that Managers would play the best player at positions. Not who makes the most money.
Players like Joe Ross would also wish for that.

re: Just a rest day VS 'benched"
Reminds me of an old George Carlin routine about the changing of the language. I can't remember all that he said but one of the items was..... in the old days soldiers got 'shellshock. clear, concise, to the point. Now, it's called battle fatigue".
LOL

Genie: I'll grant you any wish you want
Dan: I want the whole world to be built with Doritos. Road, houses, buildings, cars, everything.
Genie: That's not very practical. Can you come up with something more reasonable?
Dan: I'd like the NFBC to allow pitching moves on Friday.
Genie: Nacho Cheese or Cool Ranch?

And probably correct.
The NFBC is sort of a passive-progressive sort when coming to rule changes.
Some customers are as well.
But for growth, we have to adjust to what baseball has given us currently.
And currently, a lot of pitchers slated to throw on Mondays do not throw during a given week.
Stepping down from soapbox.
Grabbing a bag of Doritos.
Smiling at the thought of a Dorian Dorito World, replacing Willie Wonka's.

FWIW -- I was simply going for the levity. This isn't a reflection of my opinion on the rules discussion - just going for the cheap laugh.
