Peraza in lineup but not on scoreboard
Peraza in lineup but not on scoreboard
With Kendrick on the DL and Peraza up and starting, I kicked him into my lineup.
Live scoring has him as "no game scheduled"

Re: Peraza in lineup but not on scoreboard
He's listed as being on Atlanta.

This needs to be corrected prior to the first pitch of the Dodgers game.

He is active for tonight in NFBC leagues and all of the rest will follow when the game starts, I'm told.Atlas wrote:With Kendrick on the DL and Peraza up and starting, I kicked him into my lineup.

What happened here is that we gave Peraza a fake ID number to get him listed in the early Draft Champions Leagues since he didn't already have a STATS ID (he was in Double A) in November. Now the real Peraza ID will kick in tonight when he debuts and he will show up as LAD, if he hasn't already. I know it's showing LAD in our system, so look for it soon.
Hopefully this makes sense. His stats will show up, I'm sure. We'll keep a close eye on it.

Re: Peraza in lineup but not on scoreboard
Can we give him some fake stats to go with his fake ID?
Nothing too crazy..3 for 4 with 2 SB and a couple runs scored?

They can keep the flyout, but I would like that triple (and all future triples).

Might want to fix Hector Olivera while you are at it.
Re: Peraza in lineup but not on scoreboard
Probably academic as Mattingly will ensure Peraza's playing time is erratic enough that it won't be of any value to us, Peraza or the Dodgers.
Re: Peraza in lineup but not on scoreboard
You have been outspoken in other threads on a this related subject. The fact remains that there are unforeseen circumstances that happen and the NFBC gets caught off guard, as we all do. It does not change the fact that simple rule changes from year to year need to be implemented. The simple ability to move players that have not been locked is an easy one. This year we get players with the ability to make moves by the simplicity of timing, one second yes, the next second no. Just blatantly wrong and believe it will be fixed next year.Sebadiah23 wrote:Quick- before Chad and Joe notice...
We used to have a 7am rule for new players being added to the roster on Sundays so that players did not have to wait around all day to see if an MLB designation was applied for FAAB proposes. The NFBC decided to change that to a one game played rule for those players that it applied to. Agree or not it is fine, everyone has the same timing in which to make a change. What you have endorsed is not fair and equitable.
I gave up posting for the most part, but decided to chime in here.

FakeIDGate and MidPeriodTradeGate are completely different, well, gates, and the joke was that you guys would lump the two problems into one thing, which you did, rather than accepting it as yet..another... rare... anomaly that will now need to be added to the fine print in the rules.Money wrote:You have been outspoken in other threads on a this related subject. However, anything proposed for next year's "Encyclopedia of NFBC rules" is GREAT to address. You guys were ready for primetime on that one and made many valid points for a verbose but thorough unabridged rules handbook (don't forget accounting for team-induced time of day changes to avoid weather, and long Monday rain delays that turn into cancelled games- both effecting the lock-out times ) . STATS could sell it as a collectors edition e-book with this message board thread included in the bonus materials. All of those points have merit. I just thought it was questionable taste to suggest/imply favoritism/trickery/dumb luck for owners who were undoubtedly just reviewing their possible Tuesday lineup moves. Dumb luck would be getting Carlos Correa for $178. Anomalies are everywhere. Exception is the rule. "All plots lead toward death."

Point still sailing way over your head. You are suggesting more iditic things that require more round the clock player management. The fact remains there needs to be a deadline for someone to get something done by. Not any random time the NFBC opts to switch team designations. It is ludicrous to force us to do round the clock managing or be at a disadvantage. How you don't understand this extremely simple concept is beyond me. Instead you are suggesting more things that would require it.Sebadiah23 wrote:FakeIDGate and MidPeriodTradeGate are completely different, well, gates, and the joke was that you guys would lump the two problems into one thing, which you did, rather than accepting it as yet..another... rare... anomaly that will now need to be added to the fine print in the rules.Money wrote:You have been outspoken in other threads on a this related subject. And whatever you do, do not make up bs lies like you just did. I lost all respect for a couple of guys on here in the last year or so because they opted to lie. You tell me where the hell Joe or I lumped the two different "gates" together. You cannot do it because you are full of shit. Resorting to lying to try to make yourself look better is completely pathetic.

"Lumping together" is not a technical term- it's how I interpret the sentence above. That doesn't make me liar. Opinions can't be lies.Money wrote:The fact remains that there are unforeseen circumstances that happen and the NFBC gets caught off guard, as we all do.Sebadiah23 wrote:Quick- before Chad and Joe notice...
You guys are entitled to your opinions- I generally agree with it, but I am familiar with website programming, and all of these changes to account for rare occurrences all make sense in a vacuum- but they all take time and cost money to program. You can often make guesses on how hard these changes are, but the more they are specific to just this contest, the harder they probably are to put on the list for next year. Just speculating based on actual experience.
Good luck with all of your teams.

Fair enough, even if it is a bit of a stretch interpreting it that way. I disagree a little on the complexity of some of the programming. It should be easy to lock team designation switches that happen during roster lock times. They easily could have changed Reyes and Tulowitki team designations back until lineup lock to be in accordance with the rules, until the rosters locked. They opted not to. Was a bad decision IMO. You simply cannot have certain things allowed and certain things not allowed that happen randomly without a deadline involved. We should never be at a disadvantage due to not running our teams around the clock. Sounds like you agree with that, but were just giving us a hard time for some reason. Lets move on. You have a main event to win, and we have some reasonable finishes to try to get. Good luck to you as well.
