Angels manager Mike Scioscia said Tuesday that David Freese's (finger) rehab is going "slowly, but it’s moving in the right direction."
Freese threw Tuesday without pressure on his broken finger and the hope is that he’ll be able to throw with pressure by the end of the week. He's already missed a month of action but finally does appear to be making some progress. It seems unlikely that Freese will return before September.
OK. It is just me I know, but how does one throw without pressure on your fingers? I can only imagine...

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.
