Who Wins The National League Title In 2015?

To win our debut NFBC Post-Season Contest, you need to accurately pick the right players on the right teams right from the start. Since scoring is progressive with each round, it's important to pick the key players from the NL Championship Team and the key players from the AL Championship Team right away.

Who will those players be? We'll soon find out. Which team will they be from? We'll soon find that out as well.

Place your vote for the team to beat in the National League and then feel free to post who you think will be the MVP of NL playoffs. Last year Madison Bumgarner was the beast of the post-season. Who will be that dominant force in 2015?

One of the most interesting matchups in the NL will be the Wild Card game on Wednesday, Oct. 7th. It looks like it will be the Cubs at Pittsburgh. For this to be the year of the Cubs, they will have to start out on the road and win that one-game Wild Card matchup. Can they do it? What's your prediction there?

Remember, last year it looked like Kansas City was going to lose to Oakland at home as Jon Lester was dominant for 7 innings. But then things turned around, the Royals rallied back to win that game and they went to the 7th game of the World Series vs. San Francisco. Both World Series finalists were Wild Card winners last year, so figuring this matchup could be key.

What do you have on this one? Pirates at home or Cubs in the year of destiny? ;)

That Arrieta-Cole matchup is must-see TV! Seems like it would be a shame for either of these teams to be one-and-done, but that's the way the play-offs work (and one or both of them wouldn't have even made the play-offs in prior years).

Only a handful of people took the poll above, but the Chicago Cubs were the team to win the NL pennant. Do you believe that? Are you riding the Cubbies to win it all in the NFBC Post-Season contest? Should be interesting.

I cannot bet against the Cardinals.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.
