Hi Tom, any update from accounting on this? I looked at previous years, and it appears the threshold for "corporate signature" was $10,000. If that's still the case, additional delays would obviously affect more than a few people.

Please keep us posted, and thanks in advance.
Glenn, unlike prior years there will be no delay due to the amount.

I apologize if people were waiting for another update about prizes going out. We said on Wednesday they would go out starting today and since nothing has changed I didn't think additional updates were necessary. Apologies again.

Tom,
You have the passive-aggressive thing down pat.

I apologize if this seems like I'm waiting for an update. Since the money hasn't appeared in my account I deduced that it hasn't been sent out yet.

Tim, I'm not trying to be passive-aggressive. I'm doing my best to provide updates when I receive them. Prizes are going out today so I don't think anyone should've expected them to show up in accounts today. I am sorry there's been a delay. I really really am. I can't begin to tell you how much Greg and I wish there hadn't been. But the good news is the prize payout process has begun today as we were told it would. That means all of our winners will soon be getting their winnings which all of you definitely earned and deserved. :)

Again, I am sorry that there was a delay this year. It is my hope and Greg's that we can get a player account system in place that will expedite this process and make it more efficient in the future. Trust me, nobody wants you guys to get your hard-earned money quickly more than Greg and I do.

Tom, a serious question.

Why after years of running these games does STATS corporate management think that is such a low priority to get people paid quickly and on time? They have 6 months to prepare for it, they know what has to be done, yet in about half of all the years I've played they've come up with some excuse for not paying us when it's expected.

KJ, with all due respect do you really think I can provide an answer for corporate management? We were told the audit that required accounting's immediate and undivided attention typically occurs two months later in the calendar year so that's why it has never coincided with the NFBC prize payout process before. But providing answers for corporate management is well above my pay grade.

I can say Greg and I have repeatedly stressed the importance and necessity of paying our prize winners on time which is something we have done with all our contests. Unfortunately there was a bit of a delay this year and I again apologize for that. It's definitely our hope this does not occur again and whatever management needs Greg and I to do to ensure it doesn't we will do. But again, the good news is prizes are going out so everyone who won money this year will soon be getting it.

Tom,
I have received many direct deposits from many companies over the years. Almost always do I "see" the money in my account as Pending. If the money is sent out today it will show as Pending. Not there yet.
It gets harder and harder to believe the money will be there when the time frame gets moved back.

I really don't understand why everyone is all worked up about getting paid. I think Greg and Tom have always paid in a timely manner. If I was them, I'd tell you guys that money will be in hand by Thanksgiving so when it comes before that you will be appreciative of the quick payouts. I'm thankful I have a place to play where I know I'M GETTING PAID and don't have to concern myself with not getting paid. I play high stakes football at another site and its promised to get paid by the super bowl which is about six weeks after the season and it always comes before then and everyone is always happy and not complaining like a bunch of old women like you guys are doing. You can respond and tell me I'm an idiot and that's fine cause this will be my only post so have at it. Maybe you guys can go play at WCOFF next year and tell me how you feel at the end of the season.

This is an easy question to answer. (1) For some us it is a substantial amount of money that was promised a couple weeks ago. (2) We are being treated as low-priority wanks by corporate management (which does not include Greg and Tom), as we have for years whether by the accounting department or IT department. (3) They advertise lightening-fast payouts. (4) Many of us did play WCOFF and lost money, and as such feel a lot better with check in hand. Missed deadlines is how the WCOFF/FantasyJungle/etc/etc non-payments began, followed by further broken promises, delays and excuses. Bottom line is that I trust Greg and Tom, I do not fully trust STATS because of past behavior and minimal regard for this segment of their business.

Correct, however, we are not told it will be Thanksgiving we were told different time frames; and your last sentence is pretty lame, don't you think? Again, read my quote. I can tell you're not a business person and know squat about customer service.

Since this is your only post you may not read further but you sound like an Apple fan-boy who lines up every September waiting to buy the next phone no matter what.

It all ends in the morning. If you filled out your direct deposit form, tomorrow feels like Christmas and this thread is a thing of the past!!

What would make a lot of us feel better (at least me) is that a post were made at some point today stating that the process was not just begun today, but rather COMPLETED for all those that submitted the necessary information by xx/xx/xxxx date. I am probably reading too much into the process beginning today statement

I think you are over thinking this. The thread was named "Prizes To Go Out On Friday." Not "Some Prizes To Go Out On Friday." I choose to believe!!!

All is quiet while we await confirmation. Guess we will find out if the stockings hanging on the fireplace will be filled in approximately 8 hours. Fingers crossed

No money in my checking account; well, I have money in my checking account, just no additional money. Again, I am going to error on the side of caution and say, ACCOUNTING told Greg and Tom that checks would go out on Friday as well as DD in the accounts of players who chose that route. When someone tell s me the check went out on Friday, when it was going to go out on Wednesday, I become leery, Friday is the best day for liars (not Greg and Tom) to say, oh, the check is in the mail.
Granted, it's only 6:47 am EST, but I don't expect the money to show up later today because if it was deposited, it would be in my account now.
Your Actions Speak So Loud I Can't Hear A Word You're Saying"

I am absolutely sure the money will be there on Tuesday when they deposit it on Monday, absolutely sure!!! Right guys. I told Magner I mailed a check for his share of the money on Wednesday and he received it on Friday, so when he cashes it and it bounces, do I get the fee I'm charged? Of course, I am being sarcastic now...
Good day, as I am spending the weekend with my lovely wife on a weekend away. :D :D :D

Well guess what it has ended as I did my art and filled out the form as requested over a month ago. No money via direct deposit here. Empty stocking and empty promises. Even worse is no updates on why

If it isn't there already, it isn't coming today or Sunday.
