FSTA Member,
Recently, I wrote to you to make it clear that we are in the midst of a critical time for our industry. State governments are increasing their scrutiny of our paid fantasy sports operators, and some are taking steps to radically change fantasy sports via taxation, regulation and more.

The FSTA is working at the federal and state level to tell legislators, attorneys general and the media that fantasy sports must be protected. As you know, government restrictions could put access to our games at grave risk.

Our customers, the millions of fantasy sports players of America, do not want to lose access to the games they love and play every day. Our customers want to be heard. But until now, they have been voiceless.

There is nothing more potentially powerful for our efforts than activating the 51,000,000 fantasy sports players across America. That's why I'm writing today. The FSTA is making great strides to organize our industry's response to the current environment. But only you have access to your customers -- and. we need you to present one of our solutions to them.

The FSTA has built a grassroots website, FantasySportsForAll.com. I encourage you to go there now, while reading this.

The site fulfills two key goals:

Collect petition signatures from fantasy players, affirming their right to play fantasy sports the way they want.
Make it simple for fantasy players to contact the appropriate people in their states to assist with grassroots campaigns.

Here is what we are asking you to do to support our industry:

Inform your customers about the FantasySportsForAll.com web site, so they can add their names to the petition and contact lawmakers.
Get the word out using email, tweets, and Facebook posts. Sample text is below.

Again, the FSTA's initiatives will only be as successful as the support you provide. We don't have access to your customers. The entire industry is depending on your efforts to get the word out.

In this pivotal moment for our industry, please help give our players a voice to make sure that fantasy sports remain for all.

Every year 50 million Americans play fantasy sports. I am one of them. For millions of Americans like me, fantasy sports has become an important way of life. It’s about the community, the competition, and the love of the game. Ask anyone who plays and they’ll tell you the same thing: they do this because they love it. I personally oppose any measure that would move to take away that experience by restricting paid fantasy sports. And to anyone looking to end this game I say: Let us play!

All of that is true for season-long games, anyway. Not sure most of it applies to DFS. Do algorithm runners care about community or love of the game? And after the FSTA throws season-long games under the bus to support the big (DFS) companies in the industry (who would've ever guessed that?)... do I really want to sign this?
