Okay boys and girls, thanks to Doughy and company, a great bunch of upstanding citizens and gentlemen competitors all
, many of us may have gotten the itch by now to bang out one of these bad boys in about eight days flat, max. That would roughly equate to about six rounds per day for those of you not up on the new math as it pertains to rapid drafting.
So once DC $150 #2 has filled up, who is game for one of these with MTM facilitation included at no extra charge?
It's a little slower pace than I'm used to, but it will be a good warm-up for some of the faster ones to follow once we're a little further into the season. Cell numbers are required to be circulated by all, and obviously those of you without some sort of smart phone need not apply, which shouldn't be the case, because even Kenyon now has one, albeit one with a dial tone when you pick it up off of its receiver, but hey, whatever works.
So I'm the first one on the list. Who else wants a piece of this action?
Sidebar: I am assuming that we will have a draft room for this that is active once it fills. If not, I will rename the draft The Pony Express DC and we'll just do it that way instead.

I've never done one of these drafts so what are the rules pertaining to drafting at night (say, 11:00 PM - 6:00 AM)? I know there's an 8-hour limit but if it gets to me at midnight do I have to pick again by 8 AM?

We all just agree to a stopping point at someone and then resume with that person the next morning when they're ready to go. Clock management is never an issue with those who sign up for one of these especially with me and others facilitating. Six rounds per day is a minimum target, but when we get on a roll some days it could be more. We usually go until at least midnight EST if at all possible or later if we time it around the early to bed, early to rise types.

Thanks. I look forward to playing if I receive my 2015 money before drafting starts.

I thought this was the 2nd Draft Champions league. That may be more my pace this time of year. Good luck to all of you guys here, though

Okay Tim, so does that mean you're out for this one? Just let me know. I'm sure you could keep up with the pace. I beat everyone into submission during the process, so it makes it easy to keep up.

Bring it
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

What exactly is the "under promise and over deliver" date for the site to go live and drafts to begin?

I think I've been pretty clear Mike that I'm not stating a date because it's a no-win for any of us to do that. I will say that we started the week before Thanksgiving last year and hopefully we'll be around that timeline this year. We're very close.
Stay ready. Draft Day is near.
And what we'll do when Registration goes live is sign up these first leagues by ourselves so that we get everyone in the leagues they signed up for. These are automated, so Tom and I need to do them. We'll discuss next week, but let us fill these first DC leagues with those who have signed up on the Message Boards and then we'll roll from there. Thanks all.

Of course my friend. Always a spot for you...and your annual donation.
