Re: Prizes To Go Out On Friday
No check for Las Vegas. I'm new to all this but if I could suggest cross referencing the team page with payment to player information. I can go on my team page and see payments and what I owe. Maybe a payment to player section especially if there are multiple payment dates.
Re: Prizes To Go Out On Friday
The Eagle has yet to fly to that urbane cultural hub known as Greeley*, Colorado. I plan to while away the hours by watching the Broncos stomp the bejesus out of that chicken outfit from Kansas City tomorrow and remain optimistic that I will find a check in my mailbox on Monday. I will definitely go the direct deposit route next year.
*rejected Chamber of Commerce slogan: "Kiss her where it smells, take her to Greeley"
EDIT: And by "stomp the bejesus out of that chicken outfit from Kansas City" of course I mean get beaten senseless at home.

Wow. Either someone who has been burned badly or just a miserable guy. If fantasy was shut down nationwide, I would tell you that Greg and Tom would make good on everyone's money. Obviously you are not someone who knows much about these two men. Its so easy to attack on a message board. Get to know these guys before you make idiotic comments about someone's character. Not just this one but many others you have posted.Teufel Hunden wrote:Probably should save your hugs and kisses until it clears also.Gekko wrote:I'm very hopeful in about two hours from now, I'll be posting, "check received and it's in the correct amount. Until a check clears it is nothing but an IOU. As has been discussed at length on these boards over a wide variety of issues, Greg and Tom are employees. Greg or Tom's name will not appear anywhere on the check. So it has nothing to do with them or about how much I like or trust them. Over the years I have seen far more trusted companies than Stats default on payment. So no, I will not consider payment received until it clears my bank.BK METS wrote:Wow. Re: Prizes To Go Out On Friday
Why would anyone play in a contest they don't trust or with a company they don't trust? I don't get it. If you really think we're here to steal your money, then cash this check once you get it and don't "reinvest" it back here. I mean, why put up with this stress again next year when you win again? It makes no sense.Teufel Hunden wrote:

Or take Direct Deposit next year and you would have seen the money last Tuesday like a lot of other people. Good luck and sorry that you don't trust us, but that's what I get for not reading pages 2 to 7 of this thread.

1) There are very few options for season long higher $ contests.Greg Ambrosius wrote:Why would anyone play in a contest they don't trust or with a company they don't trust? I don't get it. 2) The games here are profitable and enjoyable
3) There is no stress involved. Mortgage will get paid regardless of payment status
4) Risk/reward ratio is enough in my favor to move forward. When it is not I won't.
5) We all do business with people and entities all day long that we do not trust. Banks, utilities, govt, etc.
All things considered, NFBC does a very good job, particularly you and Tom. But, when things occur that I don't agree with I am going to speak up.
Enough bitching on my part. I have $15-20K ready for 2016 so get IT off their asses and open up the draft rooms

Rookie salary check arrived in Las Vegas. Much appreciated. Hopefully my state officials will let me participate for 2016. Greg and Tom see you guys in Vegas.

He actually had me at the 15-20K he's ready to invest in 2016 which should be enough of an indicator right there.DOUGHBOYS wrote:You had me at enough bitching....

Year in and year out you have the slowest mailman. If it takes 6 days to get to York, Pennsylvania I'd go Direct Deposit every year. You could have had it by last Tuesday and your wife would have spent it by now.Gekko wrote:Greg,

Will do. Glad to have you in both auctions and glad to have you back in Las Vegas. Should be a great year for all of us.

The eagle has finally landed in Fort Collins! Our mailmen out here must be high or something. Anyway, given we have the same first name, I was hoping my check would be mixed up with Gekko's, but no such luck.
It's OK though, I'll take my (much) smaller check and look forward to drafting with you all next season...

I cannot believe this thread. And I cannot believe that I just read through it all. I have not once checked my mail looking for my check, let alone let it consume me to the point of WHINING like little bitches on a daily basis on the MB with mail updates whether someone received their check. It's funny how two of the most repetitive & vocal whiners about the delay failed to take advantage of Direct Deposit, which would have had the money deposited directly right into their accounts last week...probably just wanted that extra time to bitch & moan. Reminds of clients who constantly call about a mailing when I offer to scan & email directly to them. Instead ya get daily phone calls saying they never received it, wanting to know when it was sent, etc. I don't see a big deal waiting 5 weeks or whatever it is for a check in a contest this large. Apparently waiting to get everything correct & the the inconvenience of waiting for mail is now a thing in our instant gratification society. This thread with all the whining and daily mail updates is a fucking joke and embarassment, in my opinion. Greg, Tom, & STATS deserve better.

Coz - maybe u don't need your money as quickly as some other people (like me). Whatever your reason, it doesn't matter to me. When a company advertises "quickest payouts in the industry" and "payments in record time", I'd certainly expect it quicker than 6 weeks after the season is over, esp with the payments dates being delayed multiple times this year.
Holding a company accountable is "whining"? I'm thinking you are the kind of person who has his head buried in the sand with a lot of things in your life. Good luck!

I like when a thread grows enough legs that I can be accused of wanting to blow Greg and Tom at one end of it and called out for mistreating them at the other. Somewhere in the middle, the truth lies.COZ wrote:I cannot believe this thread. And I cannot believe that I just read through it all. Re: Prizes To Go Out On Friday
I see two "ME"'s in that sentence and I think that is part of the problem here. ME. ME. ME. But you are correct, my "reason" (for NOT whining)(I presume that is what you meant to imply) is indeed irrelevant. As is your "reason" (for whining) irrelevant to me, as well as everyone else on the Message Boards.Gekko wrote:Coz - maybe u don't need your money as quickly as some other people (like me). What IS the record for quickest payment time in the industry? Is someone keeping track of such things? Mere statements of "Puffing" in advertising is NOT, legally, to be construed as an express warranty and therefore should not legally be relied upon, most especially for household budgeting purposes. Now informed, please govern yourself accordingly next year regarding timelines. When a company advertises "quickest payouts in the industry" and "payments in record time",
I'd certainly expect it quicker than 6 weeks after the season is over, esp with the payments dates being delayed multiple times this year.
YOUR "expectations" are not MY expectations. And most certainly not STATS, Inc.'s. Next year, have no expectation for payment date and then, like me, you'll be pleasantly surprised when you receive your check. Hell, as bad as I am, I'm just pleasantly surprised I won anything.
Holding a company accountable is "whining"?
Pretty sure no one in the Accounting Department at STATS, Inc. is reading the Message Board posts of a "Gekko" with an avatar picture of Michael Douglas, let alone thinking this is holding them "accountable." So, YES, this IS "whining," and not actually holding anyone accountable.
I may in fact be the kind of person who has his head buried under the sand, but I certainly do NOT fall for mere "puffing," think MY expectations are in line with a Corporation, nor think a post on a Message Board will hold a corporation "accountable." Sounds like I may not be the only kind of person who has his head buried in the sand.I'm thinking you are the kind of person who has his head buried in the sand with a lot of things in your life. Good luck!
