With apologies to the obvious mob movies.
Just when I thought I was out of Draft Champs, they pull me back in!
Busy firehouse, eff you. Pick!
Your kid has soccer, eff you. Pick!
It's your wife's birthday, eff you. Pick!
I four wheel or hike out to get data service to make my selections and I have some schmo telling me to deal with his daily delay. Sad thing is I can't even respond in the draft room because of the dialogue box (I think it was last used by Mathew Broderick in War Games) that is in place in the draft rooms.

PS maybe I would prefer a nice game of Chess.

Re: Slow Pickers in Draft Champs
Most folks in the Draft Championship leagues are pretty timely and courteous. Of course, there always are exceptions. In extreme cases, Greg and Tom can give folks a gentle nudge. Sometimes life happens and there are occasional delays. If you find the pace just too slow for your liking, look for the four-hour leagues or, even better, the "fast" leagues. I just finished a fast league that lasted just under four days. It was a blast with dedicated owners and lots of good chat. Hang in there.

Rehab is now available for you, Duke, in the form of Fast DC 3. Add your name to the thread, and you'll soon be on your way to recovery.

I might just jump in the fray.
My timing with the Draft Champs is horrible. Every league I am in has three or four dudes that have no problem taking five to six hours with every pick. It has been my desire to play the other games with three minute pick limits, but alas I need an iPad iPhone friendly draft platform. I work in a mountainous region and mobile is the only option. Getting data signal to the remote area I work in is problematic. As a result, I usually travel to the signal.
Thanks for the invite, will let you know post haste.

As an aside, is there an acceptable reason why STATs doesn't open the doors to mobile tech users? It doesn't take much imagination to see the end result of companies that have embraced the mobile user.

I have the same issue, as I often work in the Smoky Mountains. I made it work with an iPhone, just had to load up my que, as it is problematic searching players, chat, etc.DukeDean wrote:Flur

The faciiltator and drafters were great and I would advise this option.

Good points all.
I have utilized the que when there are only a few picks to go, but I am reluctant to set it to far off in horizon. I might have a second baseman as my primary choice because there are still several SP available, but then a run starts which depletes the SP pool. Last year wasn't quite so bad, Hollywood was on the next basin filming a movie. I was able get a strong signal. As you aware the "E" or Edge signal might allow a basic text, but will not allow web pages to fully load. Hey, maybe another movie crew will burst on to the scene!
But, alas, I might have to find alternative arrangements altogether . A fellow league member has resorted to cyber bullying with profanity laced emails to me.
