Each official AB in the stat column in minus one point. Each hit is worth 4 points. So if your player goes 1-4 in a game with no R/RBI/HR it is worth zero, about the same as an empty 1-4 day in roto.
This sets the over/under for BA at .250. Above it adds to your point total, below deducts. Last season the average NFBC team hit .265, so BA in this scoring system is slightly more rewarding than in the main event, but it's as close as we could get without dealing with fractional points.
I see...good explanation. Thank you.

Re: Win $40,000 In The 2016 NFBC Cutline Championship
Greg,
How will games on Sunday April 3rd be scored? Will those games be there own separate week or will they be included in Week 1 as a Sunday to Sunday exception?

Re: Win $40,000 In The 2016 NFBC Cutline Championship

Re: Win $40,000 In The 2016 NFBC Cutline Championship
This is a good question that we'll have to mull around internally. We certainly did not expect MLB to have three games on Sunday when they've never had more than one Sunday Night Game before. Right now Sunday is its own week since we always run scoring Monday-Sunday, but we'll have to talk this one through. Ideally, I'd like that Sunday to be part of the full Week 1 because of the three games, but we'll meet internally and announce shortly.Asumijet wrote:Greg,

Re: Win $40,000 In The 2016 NFBC Cutline Championship
I hope to have a definite starting date soon. I think if we start drafts later next week we'll get these rolling regularly through January, February and March. That's the plan right now, but I don't have an exact start date just yet. But soon.76erfan wrote:Id be interested in the first one but it really depends on the night.

I know of a web site that has a Cutline primer discussing the nuances of the contest as well as rankings customized to the league along with a spreadsheet that you can add your own projections to generate your own rankings...

Re: Win $40,000 In The 2016 NFBC Cutline Championship
Would it be possible to do this first cut line league as an express email draft? I'm in either way. Just throwing it out as an option to see if it might fill faster that way.

No, we'll get the draft room rolling next week and then we'll host drafts every night going forward. Hopefully that will take care of demand. Almost there.TheKing wrote:Would it be possible to do this first cut line league as an express email draft? I'm in either way.
