I think 300, 35 hr's, 15 sb's, 100 r's and 100+ rbi. Is this out of whack and who's better at that point? Look Vander you are as good a player as we have here, trust your gut on Lee. Here is what I think does not add up for you- you like Lee a lot and you like the 15/16 slot in drafts. That does not mesh.
KDS between 11-13 and you still should have a pretty darn good chance of grabbing Lee in round 2. If not it is not exactly like you will be stuck with Yadier Molina in round 2.

vander- chests reply hit the nail on the head for me. if you like d lee- take him. if you are at bottom of draft- there are 24-30 picks before you draft again. he is not coming back. plus nobody brings up the all important point of planning out the draft. to take an outfielder there ( the most likely pick) or berkman- may not be part of your plan or you think berkman is a bigger risk than lee ( i think he is- lee is built like an athlete, berkman like a furniture mover). but to get value you should kds in the middle. however you will be a taking a risk someone grabs him in round 2 before you get him. your choice- your team. if you were drafting anywhere but chicago- might last to end of 2 start of 3- esp. ny- but there will be at least 1 cub fan there besides you. look at it this way- last year a sox fan could have taken almost all whitesox and ex whitesox everyday players and won going away.

in fact- you being a cub fan- you should kds around 3-4 and get soriano, lee and maybe ramirez. someone would have a tough time convincing me that isn't a good start to a team.

I do like all 3. Believe it or not I'm not really a Cub fan. Also taking all 3 really puts you in bed with the Cubs. If they do well maybe you win. If they falter (gee has that ever happened to the Cubs before?) your sunk. I do think all 3 Cubs are great picks where they are going though and I guess you could get all of them if you wanted too. I never consideried it. BTW you would be surprized how many Minnesotans there are drafting in CHI. I think they out number the CHI guys. I was probably very lucky to get Morneau last year. I targeted him and knew there was maybe a 75% chance of him being there in round 10 and he was. They let me steal Cuddyer too. Wouldn't mind having them back, but it doesn't look like I will. Thanks again for all the replies.
