If you have any baseball questions, any NFBC questions, any Super Bowl questions, any NFFC questions, any life worries, feel free to post your questions or problems here and Dr. Greg will be in the house tomorrow afternoon to solve them. I trust the NFBC panel will load me up with some goodies before the live hour-long chat begins! :D Anyway, we plan on doing these at least once a week going forward until Draft Day and it's my turn once again to step up. Start me out with some softballs before you come with the high heat!!

I love this Super Bowl matchup, even though as a devout Packer Backer I hate Da Bears. This is a great matchup, but somehow I think the Colts' run defense is going to come back to bite them in this game. They've covered it up very well in the playoffs, but you don't give up 170+ yards a game on the ground for 16 games and then suddenly solve it. If Thomas Jones and Benson have big games, this could be a shootout at least.

I'll take Ditka minus 67 points! :D

Greg, when a player or person (or child) :D is launched in the air where they flip or almost flip - why do they call that head over heels ?? In that instance the head is closer to the ground and the feet are up in the air. That shouldn't be considered head over heels. Head over heels technically is the standard standing position

Head over heels no time to think looks like the whole world's out of sync

Music Review: Go-Go's "Head Over Heels"

Go-Go's

By Dusk411

Posted Tuesday, March 01, 2005 on Examining The Rubble

Discussion: Music

Head Over Heels

Album: Talk Show

Year: 1984

Belinda Carlisle, lead singer of the Go-Go's, is feeling overwhelmed in "Head Over Heels"

She's been living fast and hard for so long, she can't recall any memories from those times. It's a blank and like those years didn't even exist. ("Been running so long/I've nearly lost all track of time"). Her descent to rock bottom has been a long time coming, however, she was unaware of it. She can't believe it was her when sees pictures of herself or talks to people she knew ("In every direction/I couldn't see the warning signs/I must be losin' it/'Cause my mind plays tricks on me"). From afar, getting high and drunk was an effortless, consequence-free lifestyle. She realizes now that it's false. ("It looked so easy/but you know looks sometime deceive").

From the start, she's been into the hardcore rock star life. However, she's lost her friends because of it. ("Been running so fast/Right from the starting line/No more connections"). She's confused from the advice she receives from people and wish they would stop. She's fragile and attempting to get help from people. Yet, she can't stop giving in to her weaknesses. ("I don't need any more advice/One hand's just reaching out/And one's just hangin' on/It seems my weaknesses/Just keep going strong").

She's in too deep and uncertain of which direction she should go in. She's addicted and spiraling. Her world is upside down. ("head over heels/where should I go/can't stop myself/outta control/head over heels/no time to think/looks like/the whole world's out of sync").

She needs to get away from her hard partying lifestyle and be alone for awhile. She's been living impulsive and irrational for too long. She's disillusioned with her lifeand saw it much differently when she was younger. ("Been running so hard/When what I need is to unwind/The voice of reason/Is one I left so far behind/I've waited so long/So long to play this part"). However, in the process, she forgot who she really was ("and just remembered/that I'd forgotten about my heart").

After the chorus, is the mind-blowing instrumental interlude. Keys are pounded furiously and passionately, stressing the chaos in the lyrics. It's a memorable, perfect moment in pop music.

Mired in loss and regret, "Head Over Heels," is the Go-Go's at their best. Full of incredible depth and emotion, every right note is struck.

Greg,

From what you have seen in the two or three months you have been participating/witnessing mock drafts/magazine drafts/guru drafts, whose stock is on the risk (i.e. being picked earlier and earlier) and whose stock is on the decline (slipping a few picks or a round) since the end of last season?
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I believe you posted that we are losing Tom to NY this year. Who will be the boss in the world renown "Home of the 2007 NFBC Champion" (Tampa)?

Are there any updates on what sponsors will be providing NFBC goodies this year and what we will get? The free bar at the draft is a favorite of mine. Can't remember if I ate a doughnut last year, but I'm pretty sure ESPN wireless won't be back.

Is this the year "King" Felix earns his crown (lets say 16 wins, 200K's and a sub 3.75 ERA)?
OK - So I'm not as good as I thought I was; but at least I am consistent.

Who is 2nd for line for saves in SF? I have no faith in Benitez, but the rest of that bullpen is rather ugly. What is your best guess, Robb Nen?

With the Cubs signing LH Cliff Floyd, how many at-bats do you think RH Matt Murton will get this year?

I do not think Greg or anyone on the planet has a good answer to your question. To me Brian Sabean is the most overrated GM in the game.

We are projecting Sheets to win 13 games with 189 Ks, a 3.66 ERA and 1.06 WHIP. Better health could help him reach 15+ wins but durability is a major issue. Personally, I don't see him being traded to the Yankees.

A-Rod's stock has slipped a bit. Same with Guerrero. I really think Vlad has a chance to be a value pick in the first round. I'd take him Top 5 so if you can get him after that, it's a pretty good pick in my opinion. I was in an AL-only draft yesterday and Corey Patterson lasted a couple of rounds longer than I anticipated.

[/QUOTE]the liriano/nathan/boof for pierz was an absolute beaut ! And the mets still get crap in the papers about the kazmir-zambrano deal(as well they should). Do the bay area papers still drag that out or are they a bit more mellow out there ?
