We've Sold Out the Chicago Auction Championship League on Friday, March 25th at the Sheraton Northbrook, but now we have our sights set on two other leagues that could sell out in the Windy City. We added two more teams to the Main Event in Chicago last night and now have 22 teams signed up for that Saturday, March 26th Noon CT draft. Let's get to 30 teams again this year and fight for the $125,000 grand prize in two Chicago leagues. We can do it.

We also have 6 teams signed up for the $1500 Rotowire Online Championship Plus League on Saturday after the Main Event and can fill that one. We've done the tripleheader in Chicago before, so let's do it again. Who wants to Play Three?

Saturday, March 26th, 5 pm CT - $1500 Rotowire Online Championship Plus (6 Spots Left)

We have 6 teams signed up for the $1500 12-team contest on Saturday night, which has a top league prize of $9,000 and a second place prize of $4,150. Those teams are also competing for the overall prize pool, which includes $100,000 for first place. This is a sweet contest this year.

Let's fill this one up like we did last year. Here's the current signup list for the Saturday night 12-teamer:

Yes, Deep Dish Pizza, Cold Beer in frosty mugs, and smart-ass comments & rants by yours truly all inclusive & free of charge. Do not make me crack out the Deep Dish Pizza pictures, people. DO. NOT. MAKE ME DO IT. Your resistance will be futile.

Sure, why not Ando? Apparently my yearly donation is not enough of an enticement. All beer will be on me, free of charge to all who come to Chicago. (rolls eyes) (Greg please make sure the Sheraton is fully stocked with Beer, please) If the Auction of years past is any indication, Jay Lyons who is coming in from Cleveland will be THIRSTY if ya know what I mean, and Diedrich will be SALTY so they will be in need of refreshments, amongst others, including myself if I have to draft next to Pausma again or Ando. ;)

NOW ONLY 5 SPOTS LEFT in the Chicago Main Event next Saturday at this time. The lure of free pizza and beer is all it took to get NFBC veteran Jeff Bryl back to Chicago for the live draft. There's no turning back now as we are going for two full leagues in Chicago. I have two veterans who want to hook up with us on this one, so we have some irons in the fire. Here we go.

Keep recruiting Windy City. We're not turning back now. Here's the current signup list:

CHICAGO
Sheraton Northbrook
Saturday, March 26, Noon CT
1. Brent Grooms, Atlanta, Georgia
2. Christopher Cosley, Rolling Meadows, Illinois
3. Reinaldo Diaz, Miami, Florida

6. Gary Gelesh, Akron, Ohio
7. Joseph Martens, Bloomington, Illinois
8. Matthew Anderson, Mahomet, Illinois
9. David Geisinger, Brookfield, Illinois
10. Vince Clemente, Elmhurst, Illinois
11. John Pausma, Tinley Park, Illinois
12. Doug Gruber, Troy, Michigan
13. Dominic Cirigliano, Columbia Station, Ohio
14. Kim Dettmann, Mt. Prospect, Illinois
15. Eric Albright, Loveland, Ohio

Oh yeah. Almost there! Still room in Chicago. Only in Chicago can you see:

- Coz drafting Kenny Williams
- Pirate Gary and his handwritten notes pretending he doesn't know the player's name
- Vandy and Diedrich jumping White Sox players by 3 rounds
- Russell perform amazing acrobatics on his chair
- Gruber trying to convince the room to fade Detroit players
- Stat Employee of the Year Dean running a fine-tuned machine
- No east coast bias - Mookie still avail at 1.10

NOW ONLY 3 SPOTS LEFT in the Chicago Main Event Leagues. We didn't make it any easier for you Windy City folks, though, as we added two Charter Members. Dyv, who was one of the very first NFBC signups, returns for his 13th straight season. He is going to try to make it to Chicago, but if not we will patch him in. It's so good to have Dyv in our Main Event again because without Dyv the NFBC would not have made it past Year 1. That's the God honest truth. Welcome back Dyv.

KJ Duke is a Chicago fan at heart and he knows all of the competitors in these Main Event leagues. He can't get to Chicago, but he wishes he were there next weekend. As a result, he's going to get patched in on the phone to draft in this league. He wants to tackle this Midwest competition and see how high up he has to bump up his beloved Cubs. I think it's two great additions to Chicago as we try to fill these up perfectly. It's a small concession to make to get two great competitors into this Main Event.

Okay, we've got one more on the hook. I need some help. C'mon, call players from the past and hook them up with me. We have pizza and beer on Coz. What more could you want?

Here's our Chicago lineup card right now. One more day to fill this out so that we get draft spots with everyone else on Monday. Thanks all.
