Give An NFBC Member Some Love!!

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Fri Feb 02, 2007 10:51 am

Okay, it's time to give an NFBC member some serious love and maybe the wedding of a lifetime. First the story and then the request for some serious online voting.

George Kleemann is an original member of the NFBC family as he first heard about our high-stakes event in March of 2004 while reading a story about us in the Chicago Daily Herald. George LOVED the NFBC from the start and since then has entered about every satellite league we run, the Ultimate Draft League and our National Fantasy Football Championship. He's even recruited his wife, Sandi, to compete in the NFBC and she finished 17th overall last year. His son, Michael, joined the NFBC last year and finished second in his league. His daughter-in-law even puts the stickers on in Chicago.

It's truly a family affair and one that George has penciled in 'til death due us part!! :D

In fact, George is so adamant that the third weekend in March is NFBC Draft Day that last year when his son Christopher told him he was getting married in Florida in March of 2007, George looked at the calendar and said, "Nope, I can't make it." He said Christopher knows the score and nothing gets in the way of Draft Day. Sandi agreed!! It caused some friction in the Kleemann household for a while, but with several months to plan for the wedding his son and daughter-in-law to be moved the date to accommodate everyone. Now the whole family will be able to attend!! :D

True story, even if George didn't want me to tell it.

So now this son enters a contest in Chicago through radio station WILV and the Kleemann couple are one of five couples who can win a paid wedding valued at $50,000 if they win the online voting. It's Chris & Vickie and you can find them at www.wilv.com as contestant No. 5. You can vote as many times as you'd like and with a little love from the NFBC family we may have a winner in the family.

If you want to help along, go to:

****://www.wilv.com/lovefm.php?pageid=2006Wedding

and vote as often as you'd like. The NFBC loves all five couples (obviously), but we have a preference for No. 5. Not a bad way to help a good cause during Super Bowl weekend.

It's the least we can do for the first family of the NFBC! :D

Greg, you could have told them to just get married in Las Vegas on NFBC weekend - it worked for me the first year :D

But I will vote early and often for Chris & Vicki

Greg,

I must say, very class act to put that up.

I am engaged (wedding to be in summer of 2009) so I have a couple of years, but to make a long family story short, fiance and myself are paying for wedding ourselves. Sounds like bad news, but it has allowed me to get her approval and more importantly half entry fee for ultamite league with understanding of $40K to go to wedding...sounds like a downer, but I must say, a little less sh** coming my way when i spend 2-3 hours a night on websites and more time preparing projections makes this year already more enjoyable...plus, watching games each night on extra innings and being able to say, "Flip this House? Trading spaces? I don't think so. Do you want to win wedding money or not?" :D

Yes, I realize if I lose, it will be less than pleasant to say the least, but we'll deal with that IF it happens...2007 from worst to first!!!

Well, thought I would share my wedding story since you posted a wedding topic...didn't mean to steal any thunder from anyone. i have already voted a couple times for you.

Best of luck!!!

You didn't mention they were 7 feet and over 6 feet! holy cow, that is some serious height.

Good luck, I voted, but I had to also throw in a vote for that couple who had served. Always support the Troops!

Poopytooth, congrats on the engagement, but my word of advice is scrap the big wedding (I did one in NYC and now I wish I had that 80k back) go do something nice and inexpensive on an island somewhere

Gave some nice ratings to the other couples, 1 Heart and voted for the "lovely Kleemann couple". I'm guessing we can check the website on Monday/Tuesday to see who won??
