SP - Jerad Eickhoff
Eickhoff is off to a blazing start. I own him in ALL leagues. Tidbit I picked up in the offseason about him. Apparently he had trouble throwing his swing and miss curveball his first couple of starts last year due to the difference in seams on a minor league ball and a major league ball. Once he became more comfortable with it (his last 4 starts in 2015), his numbers were that of a TOP 10SP.
Here’s a snapshot of his performance in those last 4 games in 2015 against some talented major leaguers (notice the LH too):
B.Harper 0-3 (3K)
Rizzo 0-3 (1K)
K.Bryant 0-3 (3K)
Schwarber 1-3 (1K)
Freeman 0-2 (1K, 1BB)
Rendon 1-2 (1BB)
Desmond 1-3 (2K)
Conforto 0-3 (2K)
SUMMARY: 3-22, 1ER, 2BB, 13K. HIS STRIKEOUT % WAS A HISTORIC 54% AGAINST THE HITTERS ABOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ACQUIRE AT ALL COSTS.
OF - Nomar Mazara
Mazara is a top minor league prospect. His ceiling is that of his Rangers teammate, Prince Fielder. 25HR with a decent batting average. If you think he can get there this year, GG Industries authorizes bidding that rivals last weekend’s bids ($555).
RP – Kevin Jepsen
Glen Perkins was hurt last year and now he is hurt this year. This is NOT a coincidence. I have it on good authority from my milkman that Perkins will miss extended time (like the rest of the season). Jepsen just locked down his first save last night. Those of you who missed out on the Jeanmar Gomez sweepstakes last week still have a chance to get on board. DO NOT GET LEFT OUT AGAIN. THIS COULD BE YOUR LAST CHANCE TO SECURE A DECENT CLOSER IN 2016
OF - Jeremy Hazelbaker
Hazel has 4 seasons of stealing over 30 bags (with a high of 67 one year). He also has some pop in his bat. He has a .452ISO this year and is batting 2nd in the Cardinals potent lineup. Outside shot at a 20/20 season this year. He is ONLY available in Main Event Online March 31 8 pm ET League 3 so bid accordingly. You may have been a buffoon last week for letting him slip though without a bid; however don’t whiff again.
2B – Javier Baez
Baez was injured this spring and would have made the team (likely starting once Schwarber went down), and now he is healthy. Already hit a HR in his rehab assignment and has been called up to the Cubs. Baez put up a 30HR/20SB season in the minors at the age of 20. With all of the injuries the Cubs have had, would anyone be surprised if Baez is THE POWERBALL TICKET IN 2016!
RP – Dan Hudson
This is the GG Industries sneaky play…Brad Ziegler is in the last year of his contract and is 99% guaranteed to be traded (likely sooner rather than later). Even though Ziegler danced around some trouble in his latest outing, he could even lose his job due to ineffectiveness.

SPECIAL CATCHER EDITION – IF YOU OWN SWIHART OR MCCANN
**************************************
C - Christian Vazquez
Swihart is nItE NiTe. Banished to the minor because he can’t catch!! LOL. Vazquez is the full-time start the rest of the year. He was hitting .462 in the minors before getting called up and promptly went 2-4 with 2 runs in his first game last night. Finding a guaranteed FULL-TIME catcher on the waiver wire can be extremely difficult. This train is leaving Sunday night at 10.30. Last call.
C - Jarrod Saltalamacchia
James McCann is down with an ankle sprain. That’s horrific news for a catcher. Saltalamacchia has a 25HR season in the bigs which would have placed him second last year on the HR leaderboard for catchers. Heck, even if he hits 15HR the ROS, which would rank him in the top 10 last year for HR by a catcher. Don’t miss out if you have a power starved team, esp at catcher.
Enjoy folks. Hope we were able to help.

2HR and 6RBI this week. He WILL be 100% owned after tonight. Last chance if you are struggling at catcher to acquire a difference maker. He has a 25HR season already on the books. Could this be his second one?

Teams desperate for speed (Burns, Pillar owners) would be wise to consider 22 year old Mallex Smith. Since he was called up this week, he has attempted 4SB in only 6 games!!!!! If he keeps that pace up it would translate to 108 SB attempts over 162 games.
PS - In the minors, he attempted 80SB in 2013, 114SB in 2014 and 70SB in 2015. And he is a career .296 minor league hitter. All at the age of 22!!!

Don't let Smith's .190 OBP fool you. He's legit. Billy Hamilton 2.0Gekko wrote:Teams desperate for speed (Burns, Pillar owners) would be wise to consider 22 year old Mallex Smith. this will keep his bids from entering Mazara territory. if you need speed, mallex is THE best option available. Hurry!Deadheadz wrote:Don't let Smith's .190 OBP fool you. He's legit.
