Just inexcusable for a guy with his stuff to have such frequent meltdowns.Bronx Yankees wrote:Michael Pineda owners might disagree at the moment ....brian4state wrote:Nothing better than a lazy Sunday afternoon of baseball.

And Carrasco just hurt himself awkwardly covering first. They're looking at his left leg. Goddamnit.

(Alfredo) Simon says give up another hit.
(Alfredo) Simon says give up another homer to Rizzo.
Pitch well.
You're out.

Sadly as a Pirate fan the Cubs look like an absolute juggernaut. Just thinking out loud here I could see McCutchen getting moved about a year before his contract expires. I think they like Austin Meadows. Damn Cubs are ruining my plans of seeing the Pirates in a World Series. I'll be rooting for the Cubs love how they went about their business.

My Sunday is ruined. Hope my Main Event and other Carrasco teams aren't as well.NorCalAtlFan wrote:that didn't look good at all. he couldn't put any pressure on it. no bueno

Early indication is a hamstring injury, which is obviously better than a blown knee. He seemed to grab at the back of his leg right away, but the way he went down made it tough to tell exactly what happened.

As a long time Cub fan this start to the season has been a fun one! Of course, I know all to well it's just April 24th.
Re: April 24th Gameday Thread
My big money team has sucked so far. I swear EVERY DAY I log onto the live scoring and the team is hitting under .200. Justin Upton strikes out 3 times a day, no one steals bases, aces get shelled. I mean I know it's early but finishing the first month of the season in the bottom third of the league isn't good.

My life would be much more fulfilling without being dependent upon Pitchers. Gag.Yah Mule wrote:And Carrasco just hurt himself awkwardly covering first. They're looking at his left leg. Goddamnit.

Damn...just checked on Hammel. Nice!

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Replays are taking way too long.

Harper pinch hit bomb to center off Jepsen in the bottom of the ninth and the game is tied. Still nobody out.

No, he got through the inning. Fernando Abad on in the 10th.

Re: April 24th Gameday Thread
Joe Ross raps a sharp pinch hit single up the middle and the Nats have two on and one out. Papelbon getting all excited about a W, but Lobaton serves up a double play grounder. Ross went after Dozier hard, but they turned it.
Re: April 24th Gameday Thread
Sure would be nice to have Harper back up

Rasmus 2016 is hitting like Colabello 2015.
Where do these guys find their success so suddenly when it wasn't there before?

He hit 25 HRs last year in 435 ABs. He hit 8 HRs in September/October, batting .289. Also batted .423 with 4 HRs in the playoffs and had some huge HR's. His issue had been hitting against lefties, but did ok against them last year and is hitting .400 this year, thus far. I drafted him late in a lot of leagues, for some cheap power. I don't expect him to hit .300 but he should hit 25-30 HR's, even if he sits against some lefties.Deadheadz wrote:.
