Picks to Click-

Hitter- Yan Gomes
(By my own rule, I can't select a highly drafted hitter. Otherwise, I would have taken Bryce Harper. Don Mattingly being the anti-Joe Maddon)

Pitcher- Gio Gonzalez

Picks to Brick-

Pitcher- Nick Tropeano

Hitter- Paul Goldschmidt
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Home plate umpire in Rays/ A's game Brian Gorman. One word... awful. Strike zone pace in 1st inning offers no hope for pitchers if it continues.

If Severino gets back to his locker and there's not a ticket to Scranton waiting for him, I have to ask why not?

Top closer in baseball is (of course) Jeanmar Gomez with 14 saves. Is there more of a surprising performance in MLB?

Wonder if Gomez was drafted by anyone in the DC leagues?

Fernando Rodney has 10 saves, has yet to allow a run, and a shiny whip of 0.93. Drafted round 21. If you have these two guys, you are probably leading saves in your league or close to the top.

Drafting a closer in first 10 rounds is a really bad decision IMO. A closer is a one trick pony, and very inconsistent at that trick.
