Trying to fill the void for 4 days

Post by Quahogs » Tue Jul 12, 2016 6:24 pm

Not sure how to react to a day without a quick kick in the jimmies - wait there it is! (thanks Tyler Flowers news!)
What better way to pass the time until the next one with a little solitaire. Yes, it's time to pull out the old swag gents!

I tried calling the 800-number:

"You've reached a non-working toll-free number. If you are trying to reach Alicare Medical Management, please hang up and re-dial (603) 328-6600."

Maybe you could build a house of cards with those

Did you misdial? It's a 1-888 # actually. I was able to place a prop bet Colon O/U 3 batters faced!

And here I was wasting my void time with wasteful things like....

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Alright, I'll admit it - this All-Star break is too long for my tastes. I'm ready to watch baseball that really counts. I miss tracking my teams. I miss seeing my teams rise and fall in the standings. I want to plug my Sunday FAAB acquisitions into my lineups. Can't believe tomorrow is another off day. Ready for Friday and the second half to begin!

I guess I am in the minority. The last month or so of the season was so agonizingly painful I actually started to not watch as much. I look at my draft board and would say I "hit" on 7 of my first 10 pics and 9 of the first 15 and find my team practically dead as catastrophic things seemed to happen over and over. For the first time I can ever remember, I actually welcomed the all star break in baseball. I will dial back in here in the second half and hope for a magical turn around!

These past few days I've realized what a sanctuary from the insanity of the world baseball and fantasy baseball offers.
