Andrew Miller

Seeing reports that the Nationals supposedly are offering Lucas Giolito straight up for Andrew Miller. I'm skeptical they are true only because, if I'm the Yankees, this deal already would have been done if such an offer was made. As highly as I regard Andrew Miller and consider his current contract a relative bargain, isn't this a no-brainer for the Yankees? Am I missing something?

Half the reports are not true.
The other half are guesses.

Giolito's "stuff" not performing as expected, at least this year.

if he was throwing as expected it would cost alot more than andrew miller. the yankees can afford to go out and buy the next break out RP who could be as good as miller, but they are going to have a really hard time finding someone as talented as giolito who they would control for the next few years.

so i agree... you make this deal in a heartbeat. who knows.. maybe they can squeeze more out of the super desperate nats. worth trying i suppose
