2016 AUGUST / SEPTEMBER BASEBALL PARK TOURS

This is a company that does Baseball Park Tours during the season. I have no affiliation with this company and I have never used them. The California Gold Tour looks particularly appealing to me because I have never been to California and would love to see games at the 5 parks there. Would like to hear if anyone has taken one of their tours before and what their experience was like.

With the exception of the Oakland Coliseum, those are great stadiums to visit. ATT is my personal favorite of the 20 or so MLB parks I've been to.

I've never taken a bus tour trip, and I've never heard anyone talk about this company, but they seem expensive. I have heard about Jay Buckley trips and friends that have gone on their trips are happy with their experience. For about a grand less, you could do an eight-ballpark west coast trip with them.

With my wife, I've done the five ballpark trip you are looking at, staying in nice hotels and renting a car, for a little less than what you are looking at for one person. We were able to do some other tourist destinations that way as well, eg the San Diego Zoo. If I were to do it again, I'd do it that way all over again. You could follow their September itinerary, but I'd suggest going to the Giants game Sunday night, then skip Oakland and go the the 49ers preseason game at their new ballpark Monday night instead.

My wife and I have been to every ballpark west of Kaufman Field, except the park in Oakland. When we went to see a game in San Francisco, we went up the coast to Trinidad, CA and spent a few days among the redwoods instead of going to the Coliseum. No regrets.

I looked up Jay Buckley Tours. https://www.jaybuckley.com/
They are definitely less expensive. It looks like the possible difference between the two is that Big League Tours may have better seats at the baseball parks and a better class of hotels than Jack Buckley. However, some of Jack Buckley Tours visit more ballparks on a single tour than Big league Tours.

I think both are in your future. Soon you will have cutline scoring figured out resulting in $ and imagine the time savings by not having to set lineups.
