Hindsight Draft Regrets

Post by Deadheadz » Tue Aug 16, 2016 12:52 pm

.

What two early round picks would you do over given what you know now?
Don't just give us the player who failed you but explain why you should have known better than to pick the player you did.

Over-valuing catchers will be my downfall this season.

A
Schwarber in round 3.
Could've had Kluber, Price, Greinke or Syndergaard with that pick.

B
McCann in round 8.
Players available in the next ten picks: Big Papi, Famillia, Khris Davis.

Next year catchers will hafta wait.

Got Hindsight??

Only one really...I will not win, but I still think it was a good draft...I was very high on Duda, who was not producing even before he got hurt. I have not been able to replace his (projected) power.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.
