I wonder what hat he will wear when inducted into the Hall of Fame?
Great year last year...this guy is the Energizer Bunny. But WOW...still has seven years at $24m per left on that contract....now that is my kind of annuity. He will be 41 the next time he becomes a free agent.
Never really been a target of mine because of the no steals and his power/HR ability I have always questioned due to his high GB%. He has proven the exception to the norm and proven me wrong year after year. Damn if I can find any decline in his skill set yet. Great OBP, good contact rate, BA fully supported by H%, hits the ball with authority. Just a stud...

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Re: Robinson Cano
Cano has gone at 3/5 and 2/15 in the early drafts.
He hit like he didn't miss the inviting Yankee Stadium grandstands at all last year.
You are loving the uber- four category players next year, Wayne.
Are you thinking about good judys as well?

On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Re: Robinson Cano
Stolen bases have a habit of not being a strength of my team.
Last year I made a conscious effort and drafted three guys who I thought would get me 90 SB combined. I figured I could get 60 out of the rest (actually ended up with 54). The first was Charlie Blackmon, who stole 43 in 2015 (28 in 2014), but decided he would rather hit HR and instead stole 17. Jacoby Ellsbury averaged 30 between 2014 and 2015, but proved 2015 was no fluke and stole 20. Alcides Escobar stole 31 in 2014 and I thought he could again. He wasn't so I replaced him with all minor league speed Tim Anderson who ended up only stealing 10 bases in 15 weeks. Between the two, 20 SB total. So instead of 90, I ended up with less than 60. Of course, Blackmon wasn't a Judy and Ellsbury hit 16 HR as recently as 2014, so those two would not be classic Judy's.
I will try again to get my 150-160 SB. I will again try to do it without Judy's or at least no more than one.
