NFBC Returning To The Bellagio In 2017
I know we've been hinting at this for a long time, but this week we should be making this official with a signed contract. Because we are a small show, the Bellagio doesn't officially commit to our space until 60 days out just in case they can rent the entire ballroom space to one big convention. It now looks like they have enough space for us on most days, so we're in good shape.
We will be back in the DaVinci and Raphael ballrooms on both weekends, so if you are staying at the Bellagio it would be best to stay in the Spa Tower. The DaVinci ballrooms are right around the corner if you stay in that Tower. Trust me, it will save a lot of wear and tear on your legs.
We have space for auctions, the Mains and any Rotowire Online Championship Plus leagues on March 24th, 25th and 26th. I'll also be there on Thursday, March 23rd and will welcome any early arrivals in our suite to watch the Sweet 16 games. More details on that as we get closer to that weekend, but plan on joining me and my brother Mike and Brady for some drinks and camaraderie. I'm working on the Executive Penthouse Suites for the following Thursday welcoming party as well.
We have plenty of space for Friday and Saturday, March 31-April 1. They are still working on space for Thursday night and I should have more details of where those drafts and auctions will be. I think a few ballrooms are going to open up after 6 pm, so stay tuned. We're also still working on the Sunday space as all of the ballrooms are taken on that day with the arrival of a huge convention. We will find space even if we have to get a little creative on Sunday. Again, stay tuned here but we have two good options.
This is the 8th straight year that we've held our baseball drafts at the Bellagio and we couldn't be more excited to be returning. The ballroom space is second to none and the Executive suites are great for hanging out together. I hope we can kick off each weekend with the Thursday Night Viewing Parties and on the second weekend I think we'll host the Online Championship Plus drafts upstairs as well. Should be fun.
We DON'T have a room block at the Bellagio because we don't take enough rooms to secure big discounts. My sales rep said that you should just go to MLife.com for the best rates at all of the MGM properties. If you have found a good rate somewhere already, feel free to let others know on this post. We'd love to have you stay with us at the Bellagio, but if you find a better offer feel free to stay where you'd like.
I'm sorry for the delayed announcement on the Bellagio, but I always work closely with my sales rep and know when we'll get this space or not. Our space looked good since I talked with him in November and it's rare that a last minute convention would take all of the space there. Now the space we have is familiar to us and ideal for our auctions and drafts.
It's good to have the industry's best high-stakes baseball contest at the best hotel in Las Vegas. The Bellagio has been a great venue for us and we look forward to hosting our drafts there in March. See you there.

I like to stay at Vdara. Just over a covered walkway to the Bellagio convention center. Rates right now are $119, $149, $179 for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday March 30th, 31st, and April 1st respectively, but if you book today (the offer expires 1/30), you get a $30 per day food and beverage credit.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

There's no way that $30 credit is going to be enough for ya, is it Wayne?Edwards Kings wrote:I like to stay at Vdara. Just over a covered walkway to the Bellagio convention center. No, no, no. Platinum is Saturday night. We'll be okay in a ballroom. Maybe the Diamond.KJ Duke wrote:Platinum in the suite ?

No...no it is not enough...but it is a start... as long as the mints are "wafer thin"!Greg Ambrosius wrote:There's no way that $30 credit is going to be enough for ya, is it Wayne?Edwards Kings wrote:I like to stay at Vdara. These are all great rates. Thanks for spreading the information. Vdara is a great choice and the Tram takes you right to the DaVinci ballrooms when you get down the escalators. Good choice.

...and you do not need the Tram. There is a short, elevate, covered walkway between Vdara and Bellagio...

I got a good price at Vdara as well. Covered walkway to the ballrooms makes it an easy tripEdwards Kings wrote:I like to stay at Vdara. Just over a covered walkway to the Bellagio convention center. People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.
