Kyle Schwarber is doing his best impression of Adam Dunn.
Schwarber is top ten 'performer' in drawing a base on balls (11).
He is also accomplished at missing pitches as he is also in the top 10 of whiffers (22).
Would Adam Dunn lead off were he of this generation?

47 at bats...a batting line...085/1/0/0/1 23 k's
Watching Byron Buxton try to hit a curve or slider is like watching the Elephant Man trying to pick up a hot girl.
Entertaining to watch, the outcome, known.

Jonathon Villar has struck out 23 times too.
His batting average is .133
Villar seems to suffer from little man's syndrome in over swinging a lot.
Of his eight hits, five have gone for extra bases.
His owners wish for a better average and for Villar to steal his extra bases.

Trevor Story has now proved to the baseball world that he is only an April hitter.
Story is hitting (missing).125 while striking out in nearly half his at bats.

Keon Broxton has struck out in 19 of 38 at bats. Do the math.

Daniel Murphy and Wil Myers have walked...drum roll, please!......ONCE.
Their owners are not complaining.
Both, top ten in extra base hits.

Mookie Betts became the last player picked in first rounds of drafts to snare a hr or sb.
He hit a home run last night.

Josh Harrison has already been hit by pitches six times.
He was hit in four consecutive plate appearances.
No rumors as to whether he was messin' around with opposing pitchers wives.

Justin Turner, Bryce Harper, and Khris Davis have eight extra base hits.
Turner owners are still awaiting his first home run.

What does Byron Buxton have that Joe Mauer, Victor Martinez, and Devon Travis do not have?
An extra base hit.

Buxton at .085 and Travis at .098 can't even shop at the dollar store.

How bad was Jason Heyward last year?
He has not hit a double or homer in 50 at bats this year and his owners and the Cubs are happy with his hitting.

Mookie Betts has not struck out this year.

Looking for a polar opposite to Kyle Schwarber or Adam Dunn?
Jose Peraza has been up to the plate 56 times this year.
He has put the ball in play 53 times.
Two times he has struck out. One base on balls.

If David Freese goes into a slump, is he cold?

Buster Posey, Jonathon Lucroy, Gary Sanchez, and Willson Contreras were drafted early in drafts to provide 'an edge' over other drafters at a weak position.
None of these fellas have more than a homer.
Except for Lucroy's five runs scored, none of these catchers are in the top 10 of any roto stat, even just amongst catchers.

Combined, Milwaukee's catchers are hitting close to .400

Combined, Toronto's catcher are hitting just over .100

No pitcher has looked better than James Paxton.
21 ip, 8 h, 4 bb, 0 er, 22 k's

James Shields has allowed nine total hits in three starts.

We don't want pitchers who has K's close to their earned runs totals.
That means you, Jose Quintana (14k, 13 er)
And you, Adam Wainwrong (13k, 11er)
And you, Gerritt Cole (11k, 10er)
And you, Kevin Gausman, 13k, 15er)
However one starting pitcher has gone above and beyond the call of duty this year.
Josh Tomlin has allowed twice as many earned runs (16) as strike outs (8)

Drew Storen is tied with Delin Betances with one Win and nine strike outs.
In every other roto category, Storen is ahead of Betances.

Jeremy Hellickson has struc (does not deserve a k) out five batters in three games.

And finally, raise your hand if you'd thought you'd see this at any point of the 2017 season...

Despite Jose Quintana, the Chicago White Sox pitching staff leads all of baseball with an E.R.A. of 2.85

Love it, Dan! Keep them coming.

White Sox leading the league in ERA with as bad as Quintana has been!? Had to look it up myself to verify. Baseball is awesome  .

Just a couple of more oddities....

The Pittsburgh Pirates have been flat out weird so far this year.

They have lost every game played this year vs. teams with red as their primary color.
This includes, the Reds, the Red Sox, and Cardinals.
They have swept the Braves and Cubs.
They also have lost every game played Mon-Thurs.
Won every weekend game of Fri-SUN.
They are off tomorrow and face a non-red team again this weekend, the Yankees.
The streak can continue....

For the first time in his career, Kyle Hendricks walked the opposing pitcher (Tommy Milone) today.

Mitch Moreland hit his 10th double last night.
The last player to hit 10 doubles in his first 14 games was Torii Hunter in 2007.

Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

Could be wrong, but I thought I read that Hendricks walked Milone in 4 pitches.
