Thoughts of my squad?

Im pretty iffy on it. Power is a concern to me. So is the bottom end of staff. But i do feel I have some guys with major upside offensively. Drafted out of 6th spot

You definitely will have a rough go of it. Very, very light in the power department and definitely a mediocre starting staff.

its highly contingent on howard but it does project out to about 270 hr which is not that light. my speed should be top 2 or 3. I think crisp and wilkerson will have real good years

I think 250 is more reasonable and Crisp is a question mark, in my humble opinion.

I hear ya trust me -- Im gonna need a little luck -- I projected myself out to be in the mid 80's standings wise which is good enough for about 6th ( which is not good enough ) Hopefully I can make up ground with FAAB and luck

Then again, according to Walla, ADP doesn't matter.

man you guys are bumming me out -- I wasnt thirlled with the team but I think its in the middle of pack with potential for more -- I dont see any glaring cat holes other then runs and potentially era/whip

So the consensus is that my team is what? 10-15 ?

I kinda thought it was 4-8th

I kinda thought it was 4-8th Don't be bummed out -- this is a tough crowd. Without seeing the rest of your league, I'll say this team will finish middle of the pack. Now the good news: IF you

(a) stay 100% healthy (and injuries strike most of the other teams)

(b) make some great free agent pickups

(c) have divine intervention (sorry, couldn't resist)

ONLY THEN will you have a chance to finish in the money.

Feel better? :D

Pancho, pitching you can find during the year with FAAB.Maybe not as bleak as some say.In this format all teams have holes.

have at it Bobby,

Nice bench! Looks like you might need the pitching reinforcements. Very solid offense (with Barajas as exception, of course).
Chance favors the prepared mind.

I also was in the draft last night with pancho. Has anyone run the numbers? Who are the favorites?

John - I think your offensive numbers are pretty good, looks like you might suffer alittle in average, but overall pretty solid, I think the pitching will really suffer, especially in the K area and average (Grade c+)

Dave - seems kinds of short on HR and real short on RBI. Should have real good win totals but lacking saves, which can be found throughout the year and WHIP looks to suffer (Grade C)

Bobby - that is me, after running the numbers, alittle short on SB but Duffy can help, if he can play the full year in the majors. I think the starting pitching in real solid, need another closer (Grade B)

Bobby J,

Depends on when you got Barajas. I am not so down on him as others.

Offense is OK. You may come up short on SB and BA.

Pitching should be fine especially if Hill lives up to the hype. Not sold on Sowers, but that is a personal preference as finesse pitchers just live too much on the edge for me. Lots of depth on the bench though.

Good luck.

One more baseball season like last season (327th out of 330), then I will push you for the lowest ranked in the big dance. I am just lucky I showed a little skill in that Satellite league I have mentioned in the past, and is now tattooed on every post I ever do from now until, well until I spend the $2150 that I won here.
