After last year's live events Jason Duponte said it's time for New York to have a $5,000 auction. I agree so with the 2019 schedule coming out we can begin looking ahead to what we want to schedule in New York. So the two questions are:
1. Is there interest in a $5,000 auction league in New York?
2. If yes, when should we schedule it?
My proposal is that this league would remain part of the overall competition (like the $2,500 New York auction) with higher league prizes. That way, we're providing this option but not undercutting our overall contest in the process. It doesn't help us to add a league, even one for $5,000, if it's hampering our guaranteed prizes in the overall contest. Hopefully that makes sense. So assuming that works and assuming there are 15 players willing to take part we need to figure out when to schedule it. Here are some options:
1. Saturday night after the Main Event
2. Sunday afternoon after the Main Event that day
3. Sunday evening after the Main Event and $1,300 auction that day are completed
Let's hear your thoughts and we'll see if we can make this work. Thanks everyone.

Let's do it. I think Saturday after the Main Event would work best. Sunday can be a difficult day for people getting out of the city. Most will be there Saturday. Sign me up! Thanks

As a $2,500 NYC regular I’ll likely be a ‘no’ for 2019 especially if I do the MTM Super.

Tom - I might have some interest in this; however, I want to see how this season shakes out and also take a look at the full slate of live events in NYC and Vegas before committing. I agree with Jason that Saturday night would be the best time. I also could probably make early-afternoon on Sunday work (shortly after the Sunday morning Main Event), but would not be interested in a Sunday evening league. Thanks.

sounds fun i assume it will be part of the overall prize pool? and will the payouts just be double the 2500? i much rather do it in Vegas as well just saying. if he have celerity buy the end of October ill be game for either the 2500 or 5000 auction.
