Re: 2019 Schedule
A very interesting schedule indeed. Mariners-A's on March 20-21 will again be a series that everyone will get to watch and not set starting lineups for another week after the games. These will be free look leagues. As a result, we will have to address the Week 1 lock period and possibly lock in for all four games of Thursday through Sunday with no changes on Friday. We can discuss, but that would take the benefit of two teams playing two extra games before all 30 teams open their seasons on Thursday, March 28th.ToddZ wrote: ↑Wed Aug 22, 2018 10:28 amhttps://www.mlb.com/news/2019-mlb-sched ... -291189904 --story

We also will discuss the Las Vegas schedule of events. We may forego First Weekend in Las Vegas and try to expand Second Weekend into the week leading up to Opening Day. We will have that discussion at season's end, but that's where I'm leaning this year.
Glad to see the schedule out. These Thursday starts are not ideal, but let's make plans early. The 16th season of the NFBC isn't far away, so let's get the discussion rolling. Thanks all.

Re: 2019 Schedule
Greg,
I love the idea of expanding the main weekend vs keeping those two separate weekends. I really enjoyed coming out last year and can't wait to be back at it again next Spring.

Re: 2019 Schedule
Words can't describe how much I'm against this idea. NFBC drafts + opening weekend of the ncaa tournament is like Christmas!
Re: 2019 Schedule
Is there zero possibility that there are events in Vegas on the Saturday after Opening Day, March 30th?
Re: 2019 Schedule
it does coincide with opening weekend. NCAA tourney opening weekend this year is March 21-24, and I'm assuming the Vegas drafts would be that same crazy weekend since the season starts on March 28.

Re: 2019 Schedule
Yeah, this is HUGE news for 2019. The NCAA First Weekend is March 21-24, which coincides now with our NFBC First Weekend. No doubt we will start the drafting season that weekend in Las Vegas. And maybe we extend the drafting season into Second Weekend. Lots to think about.
I believe we will host New York and Chicago March 15-17. Time for me to get out East. And I think we look at expanding Las Vegas now over a full week. How many folks will stay through Opening Weekend of March Madness until MLB Opening Day and even into NCAA Second Weekend? Could we actually start some live drafts/auctions on Wednesday, March 20th and have a busy schedule through Wednesday, March 27th? MLB Opening Day is then all 30 teams on Thursday, March 28th.
Plenty to talk about and consider. We're talking with New York hotels now about First Weekend and I'll talk with the Bellagio this weekend as well. This is very exciting. Looking forward to figuring this all out and securing space soon. Thanks all.
