FSTA Draft On Tuesday 5 pm ET: NFBC Has 6th Pick
The annual FSTA Trade Conference will be held in Tampa, Florida Tuesday and Wednesday Jan. 22-23. Part of the Trade Conference is the annual FSTA Draft, which consists of 14 owners and 29 rounds. The first part of the draft will be broadcast live on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio 210/87 from 5-7 pm ET.
You can listen in and follow the draft here: https://www.rtsports.com/fsta
The NFBC has the 6th pick in this 14-team draft. I'll be in Tampa for the festivities and I'll be drafting with Tom and Darik. It was a bad threesome last year as our pitching was horrendous, but we did finish 2nd behind Ray Murphy in 2016, so it's time for a return to the top of this league.
We did KDS to determine the draft spots and interestingly, the spots picked in order were: 1, 2, 14, 8, 13, 12, 5, 10, 7, 9, 6, 3, 4 and 11.
Here's the draft order for Tuesday:
1 -Jeff Erickson, Rotowire
2 - Steve Gardner/ Howard Kamen, USA Today
3 - Glenn Colton / Rick Wolf / Stacy Stern,Colton & the Wolfman (Defending Champs)
4 - Dr. Roto Mark Bloom, Scout Fantasy Sports
5 - Ray Murphy/ Brent Hershey Baseball HQ
6 - Greg Ambrosius / Tom Kessenich, NFBC
7 - Charlie Wiegert/Vlad Sedler, CDM Sports
8 - Howard Bender, Fantasy Alarm
9 - Ray Flowers, SiriusXm Fantasy Drive
10 - Jeff Mans/Ted Schuster, Guru Elite
11 - Real Talk Raph, Rotoballers
12 - Ron Shandler/ RonShandler.com
13 - Jim Bowden, Sirius XM Fantasy Baseball
14 - Anthony Perri, Fantistics
Should be fun. Listen in and watch the draft picks online.

I'll say it again (and very far be it for me to come off like a dick about it
), by why a 14-team draft?! Makes no sense. The NFBC is the industry standard. Make it 15 teams so it's more relevant to us. I'll draft in it next year to make it a 1000 times more interesting and entertaining at least while teaching these "experts" a lesson in the process.

I don't know. I'm not in charge. Ask the FSTA folks who host this.Baseball Furies wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 12:53 pmI'll say it again (and very far be it for me to come off like a dick about it), by why a 14-team draft?! But agreed. There are no 14-team leagues in the industry and it should be either 12 or 15. Heck, it was 13 teams, 29 rounds a few years back. I guess they don't want to copy the NFBC, that's all I can think of.

Perhaps one of our Floridian NFBCers can show up, pull a chair to the end of the table and insert themselves as pick 15

Greg:
Visiting Tampa Bay Downs on Wednesday, January 23rd. So if the FSTA wants to run a
15 team draft .......... I'll be more than happy to toss my hat in against, "The Experts".
I think Massotto has even agreed to pick up the $1750 to get me into the conference!

Sack, I already asked them, and they want a quality player for the 15th team, not an old has been, so that leaves you out. And they should be paying me to go to the conference. Best entertainment and PR that the NFBC could ask for.
