How did we let you put together that team? Ouch, we are all in trouble. Anyway, nice job. Only issues I really see are BA (cameron, jones, etc...) could hurt a bit and speed if Upton goesn't get a job. Hopefully for the rest of us Jacobs will also do poorly

Spy Thanks spy. The auction was a great time. I can't wait until the rosters get loaded (Wednesday or Thursday according to Tom's guess)

J Posada

S Hillenbrand

H Blaylock

J Crede

J Cantu

M Tejada

F Lopez

J Bay

I Suzuki

A Kearns

K Griffey

J Edmonds

C Burke

Hitter reserves - Erstad, S Stewart, Biggio, Olivo, Andy LaRouche

C Zambrano

J Schmidt

B Zito

D Willis

T Hudson

J Suppan

E Gagne

O Dotel

K Gregg (Fla closer)

Pitcher reserves - Wolf, J Rouch (closer when they trade Chad Cordero) Our steals could be an issue if Bay and Burke do not work out, though the manager said Burke is a full time player no matter what. I am not worried about power at all. Even average seasons from Cantu and Blaylock are OK because I have Bay, Tejada, V Martinez, Crede, Griffey, Edmonds, etc. If they all go bad, then it was not meant to be anyway. Pitching should carry me though.

League will be decided preseason? When is this Linebrink trade going to happen? I think your false information may have had a ripple effect though. Someone took Linebrink in round 9 in the main event! At least you got him late so its no risk to you.

Lincecum Fireballs, sorry to say, I am not a fan. You have some good players (wright, halliday, etc..), but are very dependent on people like Alex Gordon and Brad Wilkerson doing well. The fact that your second pitcher after Harden is Maddux is pretty scary.

Sorry to be negative, and maybe it will all come together but I don't see it this year.

Good luck,

Not a problem, thats why we play the game. I humbly disagree. I think Gordon is absolutely the real deal and counting on guys like Sizemore, Holliday and Hall isnt a bad thing. Also, I have two extremely solid c's, which will definitely help

I just typically see a fair number of can't miss guys like Shealy and Gordon miss. I had this happen to me last year with Hermidia and Hernandex. On the flip side, I had Liriano and Hanley R. payoff big. Maybe it will all work for you and you will get a huge payout Good luck and it will be a fun year.

Lincecum Fireballs: Nice offense. I can't see how you don't dominate sbs. You're going to need Harden to make 30-35 starts and hope 2 out of the Snell, Shields, Bonser, loewen break out. I like all of those pitchers but we all know how inconsistent pitching can be.

PS. I know you had used draft software during the auction. Can you share your findings? Thanks

Fireballs,

That rotolab sounds pretty interesting. Of course I'll probably disagree with my total. I think I was team 7? If you have a minute, I'd like to see my prediction. (78?)

Does rotolab allow you to input your own projections? Or is it a standardized set they provide? I may have to look into.

I see you spent most money on your hitting. I tried a 180-80 split, but ended up 200-60, so my pitching is probably going to suffer.

Poopy, ill email you the grid. Whats your email address? PM me if you want. I love your offense but I think your pitching staff is going to be an issue, especially if RJ doesnt deliver a big year for you.

too bad for you half the league points are awarded for pitching...i dont agree with the philosophy of loading up on hitting and winging it on pitching....remember bad pitching is ROTO POISON and it looks like you got a tank full of cyanide!

Fandango, Maddux will win 14-15 games in his sleep this year. As for being my number 2, that honor will go to Ian Snell, who is poised to have a pretty impressive season. Lastly, pitching is much easier to find via free agents.

Mix in a total of 60 Ks on the year, and you have a pitcher barely even rosterable IMO

Sorry to disagree with you GG. On that team, in that park, he is more than rosterable, especially if you have other starters with lots of strikeout upside.

Any advise for me...I'm doing my first "Auction" style draft on March 31st in a local league that's been going for 20 years.

They had a guy leave due to some personal reasons, and I got his team...keep up to 3 per year at 3 bucks more than the last year. 12 team mixed.

260 budget...I kept...

Delmon Young 4

David Wright 20

Grady Sizemore 13

I'm guessing it's the classic 60-40 to 75-25 split hitting to pitching.

2 C

1B

2B

3B

SS

MI

CI

5 OF

2 UTI

6 SP

3 R

3 man bench.

Any help would be great...with all the complaining over serpentine drafts...I see auctions as the future...but it may take a while to slowly grow in popularity.

I got a chance to look at all the rosters today...if Team DiMondo has Griffey and Edmonds healthy, we are really going to be strong...we have major balance...we just must stay healthy...

I guess we won't have to worry about your inside source on the Linebrink trade to Boston.

Papelbon comes handy as a cheep 3rd closer.

Wagner, Putz, & now Papelbon = +100 saves

Thats if Putz actually is healthy and Papelbon stays healthy. How about your starters behind Peavy without Papelbon now?

I believe: Peavy, Verlander, Wainright, Maine, Lilly, D. Davis are plenty.

Vargas, Moyer, & Davies on bench. I think it's pretty good.

I'm confident.

Putz may be the biggest waste of money in 2007 Drafts....
