Wheeler vs MadBum

Put your GM hats on...

Why is Wheeler (5 years $118M) worth so much more than Bumgarner (5 years, $85M)?
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Really shows the Phillies had to protect their Harper investment (i.e. looks pretty silly to invest that much and then have to rely on Nola/Moe/Larry/Curly to keep you in the game). Didn't have the juice for Strasburg and Cole, so went to the next tier. Wheeler is good, but I am not sure he is that much better than others on his perceived level.
