NFBC Keeper League

Post by mdecav » Thu Dec 10, 2020 10:03 pm

I see them in the Lobby, but is this a thing this year?

How would that work year to year if a team has crappy keepers and doesn’t commit to Year 2?

This is a new contest that we haven't officially unveiled yet Michael. I'll do so today. We have a deposit from each owner on top of the entry fee and if an owner opts out after one or more years, they will lose the deposit and we will sell that team on the open market, likely for less than the first year entry fee or close to it.

These are NOT Dynasty Leagues where you keep whole rosters each year. These are Keeper Leagues where you keep 5 players max from year to year and those players move up two rounds from where you drafted them each year. So if you had Sixto Sanchez, let's say, last year in the 30th round, he could be your 28th round Keeper Pick in 2021.

We think it's a fun way to build a franchise for today and for the future, while staying in the same league of 15 like-minded owners for years to come. We'll offer these at $250 and $500 price points and if a group of 15 owners wants a higher price point we can do that as well. Should be fun.

We started this in football and got a handful of leagues at $250 per team. Let's see if we can grow this area of the market. Thanks.
