HOT BUTTON TOPIC: If Blood testing was allowed in baseball

Post by GoBabyGo » Sun Apr 08, 2007 2:00 pm

how many players would test positive for HGH or other growth hormones? I bet a whole bunch of guys.

It truly irks me that people actually root for BOnds to break the Home Run record, question is if he breaks it or if he does not will he make the Hall of Fame? If McGwire cannot how can he or Sammy SOsa (imho looks big again).

Right now they can pee in a cup until they are blue in the face and if they are on this crap it will NEVER EVER show up on the test. I am old school, yes I understand its a business and yes the Owners are just as complict, sure they DO NOT know (Wink Wink Nudge Nudge), but I wanted to get a gauge of what you guys think?

agree with you for the most part. i know bonds did it- but i believe he didn't start till late in career and was/is hall of famer without it. it was legal when mcguire used it- i think he did it to get healthy. he hit 40 i believe as a rookie. sosa- it made his career- without it- he would have been a borderline regular.asa far as current testing- it is a joke.

This also caused an explosion in SALARIES and without it TICKET PRICES would not be so damn expensive. SO here we cheer and they screw the actual fans that support and root for them, in around way it comes back and always has to $$$$$$$$$$$$$ and the little guy gets it up the you know where everytime.

Once they cheat and they contnously cheat (Bonds, McGwire and Sosa appeared to have )regardless of when they started they should be BANNED and NOT allowed in the Hall, sure with a blood test many pitchers would pop up on the radar along with some hitters we would never think about. They should be banned because it hurts the guys that truly play the game the right way!

Amazing how Sammy after the congressional hearing lost alot of wieght and now looks like he did before? Yes speculation and we will never know until BLOOD TESTING is imposed.

I just hate cheaters.

You won't like my answer. But here it is. Barry Bonds will be in the hall of fame. Maybe not right away. But he will be. I don't like him but it's about how he reacts to fans, mostly kids.

He's a stuckup ass. Now back to the real question. Cheating is part of the history of baseball. "Wink Wink" Ever heard of Gaylord Perry?

Mr Hall of Fame pitcher better known as the spit ball king. Yeah I know its not drugs. So what it's still cheating. You could probably throw most of them out for cheating.

You are right. Its great to know we PRAISE cheating and that our kids should worship these cheaters. They have made every excuse for McGwire, he had me fooled until the hearing, we all wanted to believe say it AIN'T SO! But it was and as such he should not deserve to go. We are cheapening the sport and the STATS. SO Bonds passes Aaron and we place an asterisk? WHY even bother.

Let's continue praising cheating and tell our kids ITS OKAY you will get a BIG CONTRACT ONE DAY and make alot of $$$$, morals mean nothing in the NEW GENERATION. Everything is about the buck, Old school is out the window.
