Any update on next year?

I am 99 percent sure we will be drafting on March 14-16 and will be returning to the Flamingo with ALL of the drafts in the same area where Saturday's main event was. We have smaller rooms right next door to the main ballroom for Friday's auctions and Sunday's Ultimate Leagues.
By choosing that weekend, it again is two weeks before Opening Day, the same timetable as the NFBC has always had. There is no way we could draft during Easter weekend and the following weekend would mess with too many local drafts and would be a tough turnaround time for us. It wouldn't be impossible for us to get all of the leagues entered that weekend, but it wouldn't be ideal and I think many of you host your local leagues that weekend (from what I'm hearing).
I'm disappointed that March Madness starts the following weekend, but the NCAA obviously didn't look at the schedule close enough as they just looked at the first Monday of April for the title game (April 7th) and went backwards two weeks. For those folks considering Las Vegas next year, there will still be plenty of conference tournament games and the fun of warm weather in March. We'll be fine. I'm not sure what weekend the CDM guys will choose to hang out in Las Vegas next year.
I'll have more details soon and we'll begin working on the other cities soon enough. Hang tight, but plan on the 15th for the fifth annual NFBC main event draft.

I booked my flight. Now on to hotel rooms. I hope you get a great rate for Las Vegas for us. I just saw thier site and it's about $900 for three nights that weekend.

Okay, we have a good deal with the Flamingo now and are going forward with the weekend of March 14-16, 2008. Room prices under our block are $189 per night, lower than this year's $219 price. The Thursday price is $189, up from last year's $149, but the weekend prices are down $30 per night. So overall, this is a good deal and if you plan ahead and book flights in advance and grab our room block early everything should work in Las Vegas.
We're working on the other cities now and should have updates soon.
