Mary Fields Of CDM Fantasy Sports Passes Away

CDM Fantasy Sports was an industry leader in pay-to-play fantasy sports for 20+ years before being acquired by SportsHub Technologies in 2016. The people who played CDM Fantasy Sports contests got to know the customer service people very well because at first they faxed their lineups to those people and later called or emailed changes to them.

The person at the front of the line in Customer Service at CDM was Mary Fields and she had the perfect personality to deal with all of these lineup changes. Not everyone who played fantasy sports with CDM had daily access to a computer or even the ability to use one!!! That's true. So Mary Fields would take care of those people and she had the patience to handle every daily transaction with a smile.

It's why today we are posting the sad news that Mary Fields passed away recently. We know there are a lot of CDM and NFBC customers who dealt with her through the 28 years that she worked there. She started at the very beginning in 1993 before retiring in 2021. Her sons, Larry and John, also worked at CDM.

Mary Virginia Fields, beloved mother, grandmother, sibling, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 9th, 2024. Born and raised with a vibrant spirit, Mary touched the lives of many with her boundless enthusiasm and warmth.

Mary was the cherished mother of three sons, proud grandmother of four grandsons, and one granddaughter.

Her legacy of love is also carried on by her grandchildren, grandnieces and grandnephews, each of whom was honored with a quilt crafted with her signature care and creativity.

An avid enthusiast of the pool, ocean, and lively parties.

Mary had a rare gift for bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. Her radiant smile and infectious laughter made her the life of every gathering, leaving an indelible mark on all who know her.

Mary was preceded in death by her Parents, John and Virginia Johnson, and is survived by sons Larry (Alicia) Fields, Danny (Heather) Fields, and John (Jackie Hayes) Fields; Grandchildren, Max, Charlie, Jackson, Nathaniel, and Lucy; siblings Barbara (Harold) Russell, Jan (Daryl) Cordia, Sandy (Harold) Graham, and Bill (Melissa) Johnson; 6 nieces, 2 nephews, 6 great-nieces, and 7 great-nephews.

Mary's presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. A celebration of life will be held at Creve Coeur Park, Tremayne Shelter (13725 Marine Ave, St. Louis, MO 63146) on Monday September 23rd from noon - 7pm.
