I apologize for the late post on our debut NFBC Champions League Qualifier Championship League, but I guess I failed to update this contest at the end of the season. My apologies.
The debut NFBC CLQ Championship was a HUGE success as we had 201 owners put in $250 to a sidepot that will be distributed 100 percent to the Top 3 teams in the 2025 CLQ Championship League. That's over $50,000 in prizes that will be on the line this year.
The Top 15 teams from the 2024 CLQ Championship -- using their stats from teams in the NFBC Main Event, Rotowire Online Championship and NFBC Draft Champions National Championship -- qualified for next year's league. All 15 will be entered into a CLQ Auction League in Las Vegas and we'll pay the Top 3 finishers, including I believe $30,000 to first place. We haven't determined what day and time this CLQ Championship League will be set for, but our goal is to make this league high profile and at the right time for everyone. Stay tuned as I'm still working on that.
If any of the Top 15 finishers can't make it to Las Vegas, then the next team will be eligible to compete for this prize pool. Same goes down after that until we have 15 coming to Las Vegas, but I believe at this point at least 14 have committed to attend. More on that later, but here's the Top 15 qualifiers for this league:
1 Dustin McComas
2 Nicholi Knutson
3 Chris Uram
4 Michael Brophy
5 brody john
6 Steven Weimer
7 Mike Ballschmiede
8 Eddie Gillis
9 Neil Petersen
10 Tim Sansome
11 Jordan Rosenblum
12 Mark Northan
13 Toby Guevin

Re: Dustin McComas Leads Field Of 15 In 2025 NFBC CLQ
So as everyone knows, we have a VERY full and busy schedule in Las Vegas over the weekend when everyone will be there. We feel like we almost have to do this on either Friday or Saturday, March 21st or 22nd, to avoid conflicts with other leagues and to make sure everyone is there for the auction.
That being said, it's tough with high-dollar auction leagues already scheduled for Friday and the Main Event and Platinum leagues on Saturday. I would like to avoid a conflict of draft times if possible for these 15 owners and even get it high-profile where people could possibly watch the auction and have this livestreamed by one or more sites. More on that later.
I'll email these 15 owners and work with them for the best available date and time, but here are some options:
a) Friday at 4 pm PT (moving the UItimate Auction League to 10 am)
b) Saturday at 4 pm PT (same time as the Platinum League)
c) Saturday at 8 pm PT (the only event scheduled at that time and multiple ballrooms to host it for an audience to attend)
d) Thursday at 8 pm PT (after the Main Event and the only event starting at that time)
I know 8 pm PT is late, but it would allow us to have this basically be the only live event at that time and we'd be done by about 12:30 am. It also would be after the Main Event, giving some folks plenty of time to rest up and be ready for this important auction.
I added Thursday night as a fourth option, but I think it would be less high-profile and not everyone would be able to get there quite that early. But it's an option and would really kickstart the weekend of live events. Anyway, if you see any other options that could work, let me know and we'll work through this and make it happen in a few months. Thanks for any and all feedback on the date and time for our debut NFBC CLQ Championship League and I can't wait to host this one.
See you all in Las Vegas in a few months.

Re: Dustin McComas Leads Field Of 15 In 2025 NFBC CLQ
I surveyed the 15 CLQ finalists last week about the potential auction date and I got two dominant dates and times. Most people preferred Friday or Saturday night and I kind of agree with their sentiments.
Right now we are tentatively planning to host the CLQ Championship on Friday around 4 pm PT and making it high profile. We are moving the Ultimate Auction League to Friday at 10 am, and we will still host $1500 and $2500 Auction Championship leagues that night for anyone who isn't in the CLQ. Should be a jam packed evening.
We expect to have a livestream podcast of the CLQ Championship -- at least the early rounds of the auction -- and may even create a room where people can follow the auction and listen to the podcast. More details coming on that soon.
Anyway, it looks like we have a date for the debut CLQ Championship and we'll continue to hype it up as we get closer to the date. Thanks everyone for your input and I know for some of you this will be your first NFBC Live Event. Glad to have you with us at Park MGM in Las Vegas. See ya soon.
